  • @Lewdite

Amazing rendition! I my self own like 10 full sized banjos. I play for like 3 years (not to long, more into playing piano and Bari and alto sax). But this is great ;).

Also I like you have a fine looking property. Lake side by the looks of it. Nice

  • Cool! I like your version of it.

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!

  • That was fun! :)

  • This is mr. Edwards song in little house on the prairie

  • OMG, I learned to play the Uke about 60 years ago in Hawaii, but I've always loved the banjo. A year ago I bought a banjolele and have been looking for just the right song to get started with. (Sweet Leilani with a banjolele just didn't do the trick.)

I'm gonna listen to this till my ears fall off.

    Love it!

  • Oh Dan Tucker you lazy fucker (8)

  • Old Dan Tucker is credited to Daniel Decatur Emmett, 1830. The tune might actually be much older, though.

  • Fantastic job with Old Dan!

This one of the first songs I learned on the guitar!

  • what does just uke the bastards mean? lol

  • @yojialjimbo

This is just a guese, but I'd dassume it's a pun off of "Just nuke the bastards", which whould be the prefered style of warfar for the malevolently minded.

  • @megadork456 Good guess!

  • Bravo!

  • amazing

  • Hello

    Lew...

The Library of Congress confirms this gem as 'traditional'. Leave it to those two music thieves (J&A Lomax) to include it in their cowboy and hobo 'collection'. I first heard this song from an old Burl Ives side. You have provided a very pleasant musical memory with your unadulterated and pure rendition here.

  • Old Dan Tucker was a fine old man. Infact, in the 1990's my wife gave birth to Dan Tucker, became a famous man, i loved him so much as he grew up. He became i lovely gentleman and ran the coaches for his dad. I remeber his first girlfriend, Lego, It was my mare from my house. They used to get up to naughty stuff i swear. Anyway africa was a great trip you should go there. Flying home now!

  • nice see you do get a day or two you can wear shorts. great as always thanks and god bless

  • Mighty pleasing thanks.

  • Great job!

  • I remember this song.... a character on the TV show "Little House of the Prairie" used to sing it

  • Great song! *****
