I know that you use a ditto occasionally for IV breeding. What natures do you have? I don't have Sapphire or Emerald anymore, and Ditto is a swarm, so.... :|

Ditto isn't a swarm, it's a pokéradar-only pokémon.

Nice battle both of you. And great work Mawile. Would Mantyke have used Ice beam on Celebi or? I also love to see a pokemon like Surskit do something. Water/Bug is an intersting type.. to bad it evolves into a bug/flying which is less impressive. (Allthough Overhazard uses Masquerain really well)

I can't be sure what Mantyke would do, but seeing that Celebi was low on health, I suspected Mantyke would attack Celebi with something--hence the Sucker Punch.

It carries Life Orb, and that's a glitch in the game. Where damage is done before the attack.

Turns out it was a glitch.

@Overhazard I think it was probably the Life Orb damage. Maybe LO recoil happens before the attack if said attack hits multiple targets as Earthquake does.

My thoughts exactly, maybe it's to prevent Cubone from getting hurt after each pokémon it hits (up to 3 times in all :O), but what if the recoil drops it's HP to 0? Can a pokémon faint for using a move it then won't be able to use? (a pokémon paradox)

Wow, I didn't expect a big turnaround in the battle. I think one of the best things about Pokemon battles is the unexpected comeback that will turn the tables around.

Actually you used Iron Head on the Hypnosis Ralts, not the Trick Room one. The Trick Room Ralts had less HP from the first turn Fake Out.

Good battle though, it's nice to see some speedy Pokemon stand up to a Trick Room team :)
