The purpose of the caste was something else, U must know reason behind finding the caste system, before demeaning it.

The caste was n identity of a person, on the basis of the work they were specialized in

Like brahmins were teachers,Mochis were footwear makers

but some people started discriminating them on the basis of money they would earn,which i agree is terribly wrong

But now a day not all brahmins r teachers nd not all mochis r footwear makes, so people ve started realising that,nd stopped discriminating, but yet there r some othodox people like they r in many societies
