  • Hi

I have 2 4.5v solar panels and i was wondering what else i would need to build the bendini motor?

  • Where can I find a 12 volt battery like yours? Walmart? Lowes? Was that a 12 volt battery? Where do you get your information from? If it's a book I'll buy it. Through your videos I've found a new hobby.

  • Radio Shack has most of what you need. I look around all over for parts.. Electronics stores have alot. Auto parts stores, hardware stores. Kmart, Walmart, you name it, just anywhere that might sell what I need. As a last resort I buy from the the internet sources and wait for the mail. This is a great hobby. Have fun!

  • Great vid. I thought about putting a solar power there as well. I made a Bedini motor of a schematic with a single 9V 150mAh accumulator like in "school girl's project" and tried to get it running for at least 2-3 hours, but it didn't. Nether did it with the recharged battery. Have you tried using powerless rechargeable batteries (of about 200 mAh) and to swap them to get a full time running?

  • Keep trying to get your Bedini running. I failed also the first time that I tried. It took me days and days of studying the Bedini SSG circuits here on Youtube before I figured it out. All of my little Bedini SSGs can run on AA rechargable batteries. They also run on larger 12 volt lead acid types and 12 volt solar panels. They do not run over unity but they do run very efficiently. John Bedini did a great design with this "simplified school girl" motor.

  • well don't discredit what you did by saying "all i did was", would Neal Armstrong say well all i did was walk on the moon. now im not comparing what you did to getting to the moon but you get the point. because as i see it you made the MIT guy from myth busters look like a dumb ass. he could't even get his bedini to work right, lol so in my book you actually accomplished something real. as you say, independent of the grid. great job!!

  • One small step for a Lidmotor one giant leap for Lidmotor-kind???

  • Nice,, why didn't i think of that,, lol

  • great job !!!

  • Thanks. It was fun. All I did was make a toy motor run on solar energy for a week. It didn't prove a thing. But I really enjoyed it and learned alot. There are people out there who could run the numbers and tell me what happened but to me it was just a magic show that lasted 7 days. It was like watching something alive. Independent of the grid.
