  • Really like this idea. Quick and easy, plus it makes the cheapskate in me happy. I use baking soda and a bottle brush for mine. Your idea dovetails nicely. Thanks for posting.

    I just keep mine fully filled. Should there be any emergency, I already have water ready to go. But, when I go hiking or camping, I just dump out the older water, refill it and place it into my pack.

    When I get back home, I just rinse it out, and refill it again so it's ready to go.
