and some of their injuries are to good players. but you can't use that as much of an excuse. the devils have some injuries this year (not as much as detroit) but we've had a few tops guys out like elias, martin, zubrus, and clarkson. we're still number one in the league though. last year the devils had 7+ injuries for a good 2 month period and struggled with injuries all season. including an injury to brodeur. he missed 50 games. but the reason you can't use injuries as an excuse.....
another thing, the devils are also way up there with detroit as one of the best teams in the hl. new jersey hasn't missed the playoffs in 11 or 12 years and win an impressive amount of division and confrence titles. (remember, pittsburg is in our division.) however i believe detroit has been the dominator of their division as of late so that's another thing that's hard to compare. now i checked up on the injuries for detroit. they do have 6 or 7injuries i believe.....

well, no matter how annoying they are, they were a great (and still to an extent) team. 2 things i think are big impacts to why i don't see marty and company hoisting another cup: scott stevens and scott neidermeyer. even if they got scott neidermeyer back, the leadership stevens brought really drove that team the way they played so there might need to be a new geration of devils players to bring lord stanley back.

and some of their injuries are to good players. but you can't use that as much of an excuse. the devils have some injuries this year (not as much as detroit) but we've had a few tops guys out like elias, martin, zubrus, and clarkson. we're still number one in the league though. last year the devils had 7+ injuries for a good 2 month period and struggled with injuries all season. including an injury to brodeur. he missed 50 games. but the reason you can't use injuries as an excuse.....

another thing, the devils are also way up there with detroit as one of the best teams in the hl. new jersey hasn't missed the playoffs in 11 or 12 years and win an impressive amount of division and confrence titles. (remember, pittsburg is in our division.) however i believe detroit has been the dominator of their division as of late so that's another thing that's hard to compare. now i checked up on the injuries for detroit. they do have 6 or 7injuries i believe.....

i'm a huge devils fan. but i got a lot of respect for detroit as they are consitanly one of the best teams. i have a few points. first, honestly no one calls it hockeytown. i've actually heard people ask why it says hockeytown on detroit's ice. also, since the devils and red wings entry into the league, the devils win a cup on average of every 8.6 years and detroit every 7 years. but detroit won most of them when there were just 6 teams in the NHL. so its hard to compare them by their cups.

This is an amzing video! New Jersey Devils are the best hockey team in the NHL now and will always be the best. Martin Brodeur, Scott Stevens and Zach Parise are gods! Anyone who disses this team is probably a Rangers fan or Leafs fan. Who would go for those teams anyways?!

i agree they wont be there you just seem to think they suck which they dont they could possibly be a dynasty but the devils probably will not they lost madden and alot of their best players from the early 2000's are getting old they will make the playoffs but they will not be a dynasty for the next few years

i really think in todays nhl the only teams that could become dynasties would be pittsburgh or washington but it would be hard for anybody,with the salary cap

are you talking about the current NHL, because from the looks of it, you are playing an old version of EA NHL 2004. Kolzig?? he's old and that was two years ago. Stevens and Daneyko retired a few years ago!! seriously, colombus??? they just made it to the postseason for the first time. ovechkin sucks?? the devils will have a dynasty this year??? i thought a dynasty was three cups or more in a short time period. you're really giving us devil fans a bad name.

i hink your all wrong. i think the team should stay except for brodeur. he is killing the devils back in the net. when clemensen was in between the pipes they were #2 in the conference. right when marty comes back they drop a few slots. get clemensen back in goal and maybe make a few minor adjustments on defence

salvador is ours for the next 3 years zubrus for the next 2 elias has a couple more years and pando has 1 more year havelid is a definte white isnt waht he used to be shannahan may go i dont know he a 1 year deal if i remember correctly rupp is a good player iwould keep him the zubrus elias gionta line is good but the problem is that zubrus isnt a natural center he is a rw gio is a center if we dont lose him and elias is the left wing and 1 more thing they cant BE AFRAID TO SHOOT THE PUCK

Pando for one more year?? gotta be kidding me, Havelid makes way too many mistakes in his end, rupp might be better on another team, elias is a coward and doesn't hit or shoot the puck idk why, zubrus and gionta need to stay... madden, pandalfo, rupp, salvador, shanahan, elias, havelid, white cause more problem than do any good

salvy okay maybe but shanny is too old and slow, that one day when the devils lost to the penguins 6-1 shanny had the puck and was about to accelerate with it and malkin took it away from him real easy, elias is a coward, he's just like markus naslund he doesn't like to forecheck and doesn't go to the net and play physical, and colin white is a dumbass and must go, he makes way too many turnovers, get guys like corrente, bergfors and halischuk in the lineup

but i will admit, they had/ have some great individual players. Paul Kariya, Scott Niedermayer, and Teemu Selanne. Paul Kariya happens to be my favorite NHL player but the devils are still jersey's pride!!
