I use to love 98, they would introduce new music and have mix offs and a gang of other stuff. Now i here the same shit all day everyday man due to Corp ownership their hands are tied.
wow! Who dug this one out the attic? Nothing like an old commercial to bring all Detroiters out the woodwork. What's up DDT? ...Jay Scott? lol I was just talking about that old Isaiah Thomas/ Detroit Edison spot. "Look up... [but I don't see anything]" To this day I don't fly kites near powerlines. :)
Thank you for this classic commercial. I used to watch this video, before hitting the football field, and the dance floor - back in the day. was that strong enough for ya?...
Are You Kidding Me!? Not The Strong Songs Commercial. I remember this used to come on Channel 50 while I used to watch Cartoons. Next You'll find the Detroit Edison/Isiah Commercial.
Dang!!!! I've been looking for this commercial forever and also that song! This was one of my favorite WJLB promo commercials from 1984-85. Does anyone remember seeing a similar WJLB commercial but with just the Lee Haney bodybuilder flexing? Thank you for posting this long lost commercial!
I know he wasn't Lee Haney but he did look just like him. The guy has to come back right now and do more WJLB Strong Songs commercials I'm sure a lot of Detroiters will remember him.
I LOVE DETROIT!!!! I REMEMBER THIS WHEN I WAS A LITTLE TEENAGER,LOL LOVE IT!!!
