What's the scoop on the Beltronics STi-R? I think it was discontinued in favour of some better model that hasn't even beed released yet. I've contacted Beltronics, but they weren't able to comment much. The prices have dropped dramatically since it was discontinued. A really good time to get one, but I am worried that they won't support it soon.
If you get one make sure you get one from an authorized beltronics dealer or you will have no support. As long as its from the authorized dealer you'll be fine, the STi-R is a great detector and its probably the single belscort detector with a decent chance against quick trigger

perhaps not enough demand in the US. there may be a replacement coming, though. i wouldn't worry about the support issue.
