  • If you don't have a lip or wall of sand to climb, any iron will do & depends on the distance needed. I've hit a three-metal from a trap before with great results. Important to remember is hit the ball back into the fairway or on the green. Don't multiply your mistake. Take no sand is correct. Swing easy, keep your head very still; must maintain balance.

  • this the only professional ive seen use a top flite ball

  • Great tip! Phil Mickelson, one of the greatest sand players of our time must have heard about the same tip because he says the same thing as Jay. Keep posting videos Jay!

  • this is retarded...if the bunker has any kind of lip and u hit it like this your not gettin out ...epic fail by this guy

  • @chodeorditcher its a fairway bunker not a green bunker...

  • LOL WTF

so every tour pro who ends up in a bunker thins it out ? yeah right how do they hit it so high then, fail

  • Phil Mickelson has a video on fairway bunkers and he says to do the same thing as this one. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

  • I cannot see getting a lesson for the guy....

  • Gonna have to go against this tip...... Having such a clean lie in the bunker I just take more club and make sure I hit down on tn

  • misinformation...also he's using x-out balls (nuf said)

  • what do you do if the ball doesn't lie on the top of the sand?
