  • Somehow I can't imagine Jascha Heifetz playing this. lol

  • Pure de HOTNESS

  • DUMB ASS DRUMERS

  • I agree that Doug belongs in the CMHF. He is a unique performer with millions of fans worldwide. The CMHF is not complete without a representative of the cajun music genre and I think Doug's induction would be a great boost to this type of country music and an honor to the HOF.

There are many others who are equally deserving however, and it will take a zealous effort of letter writing to the CMA to let them know of Doug's qualifications. In other word put your money where your mouth is.

  • good as it gets!!!

  • Pure American Music at its finest..Give that man a medal!!

  • Eieeeeee!!!! Dat some fine songin'!!!!

  • i love is sound great best music

  • ok What idiot clicked 'dont like'

  • le WOW! go Dougy!!!!

  • doesn't get enough credit for his talent and what its meant to country music

  • Wow!!! Just like the record !!!!!!! I grew up listening to his music!!!!!!

  • The Ragin Cajun should already be in the country music hall of fame. It always seemed to me that Nashville shunned him. I think that he is too wild for their uptight asses! If he doesn't make the hall, then it is a sham!

  • @Bentheroofer I agree!

  • @Bentheroofer They don't like the way he holds his fiddle.

  • @Lovesthemusic1

Thanks for the info, & I do remember the velvet suits. That was such a great show that I find myself watching his videos when I need a pick me up. Aloha, Ben

  • Makes me wanna dance like nobody's watching...Kershaw's Cajun just makes my heart sing!! Thanks for sharing this great video!!

  • @chizy 2 I never heard the term "swamp pop." I've heard the term "swamp MUSIC." Is that the same thing. I knew swamp music was music from the French settlers in the Mississippi River Delta, but thought it was Creole, not Cajun. Would be pleased to get enlightment from anyone.

  • Pathway to Happiness for sure , Lively Cajon Music

  • I saw him twice in the early and mid 80's live at the now long gone PALOMINO CLUB in North Hollywood CA. It was Country back then. He was simply wonderful. One of the coolest visual things was that when he sawed at his fiddle, the bow hair would tatter apart......little horse hairs would be flying around trying to follow that bow action, but always were chaotic and a bit behind......he is so fast. Thanks for posting this song. Great musician!!!!!!!

  • @cruelwilsonism

I saw Doug at the Palomino in the late seventies, cause I wasn't 21 yet I don't think.(born in 60) I remember him having a basket full of bows & by the end of the evening he was running out. I have never forgot that, it was awesome, & I was a rocker! Aloha

  • Rollicking! I never heard of this man, but great music. Is this considered country music or some separate Louisiana style? Cajun has been mentioned.

  • @1chisai This is what is called Swamp Pop - part of the Cajun music line.

  • Rollicking! I never heard of this man, but great music.

  • The very best there is..!

  • Go Doug, Keep it up. You are the reason I learned Cajun & how to play a sqeeze box

  • wow Doug is gittin old, but he is my favorite singer of all time and im only 20 yrs old my mama saw him live back in the 70s n said it was absolutly amazin!

  • love this :) best music everrrrrr and iam 20 years old lol

  • The nicest good ol' boy I've EVER had the honor to meet, I talked some Saints football with him as he prepaired in his custom bus for the 'Island Aid' concert in Grand Isle. Growing up in La., I've heard his music my whole life in N.O.,in the back ground on Canal or Burbon but never appreciated it. Mr.Kershaw is a Louisiana treasure and needs his music to be passed on to our children to keep that little piece of our rich La. history alive forever more.

  • Put this man in the Country Music Hall of Fame!!

  • @jpcfit AGREE

  • still makes me smile after alllll these years!

  • yessiree.....the ragin cajun

  • sper music merci phil

  • Saw Doug on his birthday at the Colonial Tavern in Toronto back in the 70's, he is amazing!

  • If this performance doesn't put a smile on your face :) , then your heart has stopped beating.

  • Get Up And Dance Yahooooo!!!!
