Mmm . . GerRoland . . I knew it. You have a lot of inside insight so I figured you worked for the management company or something of that nature. Glad to hear your comments about their background and upbringing. I have been in the music business for over 50 years and have seen it go both ways. It always makes me sad to see the kids that self destruct. Supportive but not what we call "helicopter" parents is really important. The boys have certainly paid a lot dues in a short period of time. Oh, dear Ironskin . . . I only WISH I could translate. I sent their Italian lyrics to my Japanese daughter-in-law to translate for me as she is fluent in English and Italian as well as Japanese. I admire and share your respect for Il Volo. These three young men have the voices, charm, and sweetness for a successful career - but I'm cautious for them. It's so easy for talent to be exploited and slowly destroyed. I come every day to see how Il Volo is doing and listen to the latest videos, and pray. Since I cannot understand Italian except those words used in music composition, I would appreciate if you could translate their songs into English. Especially Hasta el Final. Thank you

As for IL VOLO... I wouldn't worry about their future... they have the same manager as Andrea Bocelli. Although these are still kids, music is their life, like oxygen to them... They still have to do their schoolwork, and are learning new languages and even instruments!

IL VOLO are still young, and their parents are very active in their careers (but mercifully not as stage parents). It was the 3 guys, not their parents, who were interested in a career as professional singers. Their parents keep them grounded... and tell them that fame can be fleeting, so be prepared if this doesn't work out. The guys understand this, and have remained grounded.... and even humble. For when they go home for those brief breaks.... they still have to take out the garbage! :-)

@ajac37 I have the same observation. The chords ring because they are perfectly in tune. Sound moves in waves. The more dissonant the sounds, the faster the waves, and they fight with each other. That's why our ears objects. The more consonant (in tune) the notes are, the smoother the waves, thus creating the distinctive "ring." Choirs, single, instruments, singers of all kinds can create the "ring." But only those in absolute union with their intonation experience the ring we enjoy.

@ajac37 Let me recant the statement about auto-tune . . . it may have been used in some spots in the studio . . . but let me tell you, these guys have sets of ears on them. I don't know that any of them have perfect pitch (perhaps gianluca) but they all have waaaay above average relative pitch . . . which is, in my opinion, more desirable anyway. Especially en a group setting.

This piece of music is a perfect showcase for each of their strengths . . . . and again, Ignazio simply soars with joy, Piero is a wall of power and Ginaluca . . . mmmm, up close and personal. WHAT A PIECE OF MUSIC, WHAT A PERFORMANCE. I hope they include this one on their tour concerts.
