It is common in the Bible to refer to the world as a bad place. Mark says "sinful and adulterous generation". Genesis talks about the apple which led sin in. But there is one place that no matter when you look, it will be a light that is so glorious that so long as you just bathe in it, you will shine yourself, your sins will be washed away. This Light is JESUS. Praise God!
