@luxou81 lol you nobber, Ginger is one of the most anti-corporate musicians in the world, which is part of the reason he kept falling out with record companies and hence his band being on and off.
I mean, here he is singing about 9/11 being an inside job, and you're calling it corporate lame...lol, you great big tool
great band ,although i still feel they ripped 2 melodies from the last album. being country girl by primal scream, and to have and to have not by billy joel.
Came here because I got twittered. Don't get it. Copy cat, no-new-ground band. I bet they have a Grammy or hope to get one. It's THAT kind of lame. Wilco lame. Arcade Fire lame. You know.
Man this is such tired shit. I can't believe you can make a living being so lame. So what is this? Billy Joel meets Weezer... with a pussy version of a Ministry front man.
Wow I'm impressed. The Wildhearts were not on my radar until Ginger hooked up with Mike Monroe. Glad I checked them out. If all their songs are this good, I'm in.
@PsychoholicSlag83 Agreed completely...easily in my top 5 albums ever. You just can't find their music anywhere where I live. I loved "Suckerpunch"...which played, like, once on the radio...and I looked for that CD forever! Finally came across it at a pawn shop...a promo disc without "Caffeine Bomb" for some reason! When I got the net a long while back, I ordered a proper copy. I still make love to that disc...WOOOOOO, WILDHEARTS, WOOOOOOOOOO!
@fanofPantera You can't find there albums anyplace in Argentina, as well, You got the first version of Earth Vs. Caffeine Bomb was included in post 1994 re-releases of the album. I found about this cause, sadly, I have it on mp3 (caffeine bomb included) in 128 kbp quality, and all the download links I find in higher quality don't include that track. I even tried to stick the track in the higher quality copies, but there's a significant volume difference. So I envy you a lot
thats scott sorry. he was in amen and the first line up of scars on broadway ( when it was a collab between amen and system of a down) when casey chaos was gunna front scars!
haha i know scott and ginger, they moved in next door too me and i got to spend the summer hanging out with them while they recorded an album. they were with the brides of destruction then. scott sorry is one of the most chill people ive met.
Love The Wildhearts... I'm from Argentina and found about them just by chance (you know they aren't exactly popular :P), and I think they are the best "existing" rock band... right after Turbonegro :)
im good mates with the drummer ritch, and he told me that they were pulled off because someone threw a knife onstage and it was classed as riot behaviour
Shut yr fucking mouth and use your fucking brain...nothing ever changes but the shoes....geordie in wonderland...on and on and on and on and on (;>) he's still getting it right!
To compare this song to anything by Billy Joel is ignorant. Go to their website and check out the lyrics, powerful shit. Ginger, you rock, keep up the fight.
The best of all time r the wildies , seen them and ginger 2 many times , so my tuppence wo
rth, the best three r as follows
1.Cant do right for doing wrong... the lyrics say it all
2 Anthem... listen to this when smoked up .
3 Girlfriends clothes.. sums up the period perfectly...ps can u name a bad wildhearts song. also a close 4th is Rooting for the bad guy, which shows that still 14 /15 years later the ginger man is still the greatest undiscovered genius in songwriting terms ever.
Can't Do Right For Doing Wrong is an ace, ace track. Glad someone else gave it some recognition.. though they have so many awesome songs it's damn near impossible to choose. My top five are probs:
1) Sick of Drugs
2) Dangerlust
3) Bad Time to be Having a Bad Time
4) 29 x the Pain
5) Move On
Ha, and Earth Vs. is my favourite record yet none of those songs are on there! XD
The Wildhearts evidently have not changed muscically since 1994, but they were always brilliant anyway, so who cares? Is that CJ in the video? When did he return?
Well, their sound has changed on some albums, Endless Nameless being the most obvious. The Wildhearts Must be Destroyed was more poppier and melodic than their heavier other stuff, but yeah they have a signature sound really and like you say it is brilliant. I think their sound is timeless, doesn't neatly fit into an era or sound dated. Earth VS is still incredible. Ginger's amazing solo stuff has a more varied musical approach and is equally as great.
I'd go with Fishing For Luckies myself. Any band that can write songs like Inglorious, Schitzophonic and Do The Channel Bop should have ruled the world. But yeah, Earth vs. is brilliant too.
I just found these guys on itunes I want to get them off of lime wire but they have the same name as the UK band The Wild Hearts and all there songs keep coming up and I already have em all can some 1 tell me where I can get theses guys album 4 free
Loving this vid. It is very reminiscent of 'we didn't start the fire', but that's part of the Wildhearts charm. They've done that with a few songs (daytripper, message in a bottle).
Anti flagg,NOFX,Screeching Weasel,Bad Religion and Pennywise have been poining out this stuff 4 a long time. thses guys aren't the first just 2 u know don't take it as a bad thing.
saw them last week in a little club in Swindon - 300 people? gingers cut all his hair off!!!! cracking gig tho - 2 hours of riff after motherf*cking riff!!!!!!!
The best band in the world. Don't forget, Wildies fans, to pre-order New Flesh from your local record shop, or get it from iTunes. The record is better though, cos it'll have a cover, and B sideas and all that.
