I'm a pathological liar, and looking back, most of this doesn't apply to me when I tend to lie. I can lie the same way I tell the truth. What does that mean?
@thisguy235 You are a good liar. A good liar is normally easy to catch however if you know how. They normally maintain to much eye contact, display palms constantly, dart their eyes from side to side, over relax during confrontational situations, etc.
the left-right look description is confusing, listen to it and look it is saying the opposite things. "her left" is where she is looking. the presentation is dyslexic.
@bobluhrs When you are facing someone: If they look to your left they are creating / lying. If they look to your right they are remembering / telling the truth. I hope that makes more sense
This all is bullshit. I've read Paul's Ekman's books, i've watched many videos on how to detect liars and so on, i've watched all of LIE TO ME episodes to motivate my self. And what can i say-->after a half of years of pure studying, my all dreams about seeing people's emotions, about detecting lies became worthless. For example i tried to use my knowledge in POKER. It didn't work. This "art of body language" is just a business to get money from dreamers like me.
@maxmaxuyao1 You are right that anyone who maintains eye contact more than 70% of the time is probably planning to lie. The eye accessing clues are used to guide an interrogator to subtle lies
People touch themselves for 2 main reasons (and a 3rd I won't mention): To create comfort and as grooming behavior. Holding yourself especially is a primal instinct replicating your mother's touch and its soothing effect. So this basically only indicates discomfort of some kind.
Now if you're touching your face or hair, it could be when you're turned on. Women do this around me a lot.
Again great video, but risks reading too much into gestures.
@gavtronics I agree with your points, especially with the fact that the main sign I'm pointing out is the sign of discomfort. Just helpful guides. Thanks for your additional info :)

@morrisc0de Everything is based on your view. Your right refers to her left. If she is looking up and to your right she is visually remembering something that happened. If she is looking up and to your left she is visually constructing something she has never seen (purple house with yellow dots) or planning to lie.
@derekbanas I've heard that this action could be reversed in the case that the person is left-handed. I've also heard that looking up and to the side (in either direction) means the person is recalling actual facts, while looking down and to the side (in either direction) indicates the person is concocting a story.
lol 75% of this is useless. Many people use these mannerisms and verbal expressions in normal honest interaction. Haha, if someone used these tactics in conversation he/she would just come across as a huge asshole.
Great videos, man. I particularly enjoyed the tutorial on gestures and body language. The annotation in the video is actually what got me here. I figured it could be potentially useful in everyday life... Plus a nifty thing to know in general. Dunno how into Physiognomy, or Personology you are, but a video tutorial on detecting micro-movements would be pretty cool. Keep up the good work!
@LightBreaksDarkness Thanks for bringing up that subject. I've studied micro-movements and they are impossible to see (by me) unless the subject is video taped. From what I've read in law enforcement journals, they are not used. Law enforcement focuses for the most part on language analysis and eye movements. I'll look further into the subject and see if I can come up with anything useful. Thanks

All these shits presented here in this video only apply to average people, the fuckin useless mass.

@ELWRUAN Why do you think average people are useless? What makes a person average? What makes a person worthwhile?

You said if she's looking to YOUR right she may be telling the truth but if she's "looking to her left" she may be lying. Those are the same thing.

Go to congressdotorg and look at every bio and you will see nothing but liars.

the looking to the left/right does not signify lying. When the person's staring at you in teh eye for quite long, they are lying
