i was just camping there this weekend but the spring was closed. although, silver glen was open and i got a free pass. there was over 300 fish in silver glen! it was so awesome!

That place is so beautiful. Taste like salt water because of the 3 different minerals that are found in the water. The water at the main spring is 98% pure, you can drink it from a glass. BEWARE OF THE BLUE CRABS!....LOL

hey dude, yep i saw a bunch of otters in there about 3 weeks ago.....they evidently come up in the spring each year at the same time, about now and just munch the crap out of the blue crabs. i was luck enough to catch a otter comming out of the middle spring with a big ole crab in his mouth and i got the zoomed in picture of a lifetime..........if you move back.........don't bring too many people with you........please...........se­e ya at the spring.

better watch out for the huge blue crabs and the giant alge eaters hanging out under the walls around the edge of the spring. I have seen them in there about 3 feet long. The same ones that you can buy at the pet store. By the way......they are very agressive

OH yeah, the blue crabs chase ya!... I lived in the area for most of my life, I moved away in 2005 i miss it. That day, there where two huge blue crabs in the main spring. We seen an otter earlier in the week there, eating a blue crab, I will have to transfer it to the computer form the vhs we got it on.

Salt Springs is my favorite spring to swim in.
