The tone and/or sounds a player wants to pull down or is interested in experimenting with are entirely his choice...it isn't about YOU. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. The guitar itself sounds great. the gt8 destroys the vibe a little. try maybe a fulltone ocd... this is a great distorton / overdrive pedal.
