I really liked this movie...it's honestly a sweet, funny film. Not really a "feel-good" movie, but a look at how this kind of lifestyle (having everything on a superficial level) can still leave you empty. Jude is great, and he has chemistry with every single one of the girls he seduces, which makes for an enjoyable watch.

It was a bomb at the box office because the eldely hate remakes of classic movies, and all the newbies who went to see it were looking for him to fall in love with one of the women and lie happily ever after (the way most romantic comedies end).

@vsean2u the original is good and this is completely different. he's much more PC friendly. He cares more about the women than the old alfie does but he's still cold as ice. He's a much more modern man obviously. I think this alfie is better than the old alfie.
