I seen Alice in Scotland a few years back, A night i will remember always. He sang this I was so happy that night to see him in concert, I thought things back then would last forever and wish they had.I found out only women bleed, men do often learn things to late it seems....
anyone that thinks this is a song about women on the rag is a retard and didnt read the lyrics or listen to the lyrics before commenting its a song about abusive assholes who beat on their lovers because they are high or drunk or both and the woman is pleading with them to stop because she is too fucked up to get away or get him help
An amazing talent! I have <3 'd Alice Cooper since PRETTIES FOR YOU (how is that for MAD old?). I literally grew-up listening to him. Screw all the bubble-gum rock.........this & metal were my food & drink! )0(

It has a chord progression you can find on Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" and George Harrison's "Isn't it a pity". G - A7 - C - G. I've known this song all my life. Was 6 years old when I heard it the first time. It made me burst into tears then and ever since. The production of Bob Ezrin is immaculate. I love this "sound". The long version is the only true version. It's fantastic.
@splankhoon Yeah this song is one to give ya goosebumps and maybe put a tear in your eyes!! But Alice Coopers voice is so unique that he, and ONLY he could do this song such justice.
This is one of my favorite Alice Cooper tracks, and that's why I felt compelled to let viewers know that this is not the full album version. The original song on the vinyl "Welcome to My Nightmare" was 5:49 long. Nice teaser, but not complete...
This song is great. Didn't really care for it years ago until it became a reality with me. After getting busted yet again for a DWI, pissing away my relationships, almost losing my life and watching the dissolution of my first marriage, the song took on alot of power for me. Respect and love the women in your life.
Just think, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was released a year EARLIER and Alice Cooper rare gem "Welcome To My Nightmare" is released a year LATER. In my opinion, the '70s were a GREAT time for HORROR and ROCK/METAL!
I'm ashamed to say that I'm part of my generation. When I say 'Alice Cooper', there's not one of them who doesn't go, 'Who?'. It makes me want to cry for the lack of diversity in my generation's music. Well I say here's to my mum! For playing Alice Cooper while I was a kid and basicaly rearing me on it! At leas I'm not another mindless clone!! XD
My wife and I saw Alice live last year, Hands down one of the best shows I have ever been to! Not only was the whole show just a total spectacle but Alice's voice was still amazing and his band was stellar. Plus, Slash showed up to play "Schools Out" during the encore so the whole night was epic from start to finish.
Though his images shocked and upset on the surface, this man spoke directly to the anti-culture, and nature in the heart of the beast called the USA. He pointed out hypocrites, liars, and manipulators :) He is, to me, a Rock Prophet...(generation Landslide, etc)
Your statement is inherently false; someone who hates music would not make an exception for this, or any, song. I understand your poor attempt to disparage Alice and his fans, but you really did not execute here, buddy.
That being said, your comment displays the fact that the fetid depths of your taste in music is exceeded only by your poor writing skills.
@TheKanova If you mean modern commercial shit music, than yes i hate it. But this is music with actually meaning and feeling. I guess you listen to things like Béyonce, Rap, maybe some fall-out crap... That kinda stuff.
@EOCUnholy buddy one off subject question, when I uploaded alice cooper monsters inc claimed it, is there a way to upload the stuff? sorry to bore, just curious. great song, all the best.
From the era when rock music had more deep meaning! people go through shit in life and its great to hear a true ROCKSTAR write a tune about something thats so real and true!

"Isn't It A Pity" is G major, G Diminished, C Major, then back to G Major.
But this one here is a genuinely beautiful performance. The entire "Welcome To My Nightmare" is excellent (with many exclamation points following)!
