BTW, this elevator used to have 3 octagonal fountains surrounding it and a waterfall flowing down the outside of the shaft, an indicator behind the "incase of fire" sticker, custom red and blue neon lanterns on the outside of the cab, and red window frames on both the cab and shaft, but the Soffer family took all of that off when they renovated in 2003 (year the Eidemiller and Goodman families sold Westmoreland mall to CBL) then sold the mall to CBL in 2004

Ascension time: 16 seconds

Descension time: 16 seconds

Westmoreland mall's main elevator travels the same distance, but is faster and has a more powerful motor, ironically, it takes longer to level so that make the ascension time 17 seconds and descension time 19 seconds :P

This elevator is very similar to JCPenney's at Coral Square Mall, except it isn;t glass, of course, but it has the same fixtures.

The food court in Monroeville Mall was originally an ice rink. The ice rink was removed in 1984, so the elevator that is there was likely added at that time.
