@chazspeaks I went with school December 2011 I'm I year 8, the park is nothing special, black mamba , black tower and ice skating are the only things and the posh cafe to the right of the ice skate rink which does gorgeous hot chocolates ! Wrap up cause on a cold day there you will freeze!

Although Montu is my all time favorite ride and at my home park, this and Nemesis look immense and hopefully my travels one day will allow me to ride both :) i sort of wish Montu was themed like Black Mamba... But then that just wouldn't be fair haha!

I have been there yesterday, it's such an awesome rollercoaster! It truly is the best rollercoaster i've ever been on. I went in there at closing time, so nobody was on the waiting line, and we could go 5 times in a row without waiting :) The last 2 times were with the work lights on, so we could get a view of the machinery in the dark tunnel. It was really an awesome ride...

How did you get permission to mount and film? :O, the staff are zo strictly there with cameras :O,

When they see you with camera, the take it in, and you can get it back @ close time + deleted videos + more problems

The first time i visited Phantasialand this was the ride i was most looking forward to but then when i actually went on it i was slightly disappointed. It was short and it didn't give me any butterflies but i did enjoy the view though. ^^ i preferred Mystery Castle.

@CieCieZero because phantasia is the middle(pretty much) of a big city and space is very confined there.

there used to be a big rollercoaster when i was a kid, but it burned bown, the glas fiber theme caugth fire and ....

it was 2 coasters in 1, the smaller one below was a powered coaster and reached blazing speeds @ ground level.

as person on ground level you hardly see the black mamba, accept for the looping and the first hill up.

Wow that is incredible. Was just looking through rcdb at B&M inverters and found this. Being from the UK, Nemesis has a place in my heart because the theming is so incredible but Black Mamba is in a different league. The innovation of Nemesis means it will always be amazing because it was a first but the layout of Mamba is so unique compared to other inverters with the usual predictable layout. I love the large use of corkscrews round the theming. Brilliant filming too!

We've even beeen on coasters where they've stopped the train on the top of hills to allow us to take photos or let us walk the tracks & even operate the coasters while our members were riding.

Now this is what I call a good themed ride. I admire parks that build theme around their rides. Unlike Six Flags parks that just put it out in the middle of a field and just give it the ordinary station with no theme at all.

@Hollywood1127 In USD, the ride itself cost over $13,000,000 with the themeing also around $13,000,000. I don't see this happening at any big name US park, ever. CF or SF don't care this much about themeing, but, the ride is so incredible with all the detail. I'm also a fan of heavily themed rides, and appreciate them much more than the standard chain park ride, that maybe has one or two themed elements.

@Jehoweh I happen to like Nemesis. Part of the reason is that the first drop lasts about 2/3 of the ride. Much like Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa, midway through it picks up more speed that you don't know where it came from.

yep. the best I've ever been on of this type is nemesis at alton towers but that is really REALLY fast and has lots of inversions. going to florida next year hopefully so might go on duelling dragons and hopefully that's good.
