  • Without a doubt one of the most heartwarming things i've ever seen. I'm adopting my own ferret in a couple of weeks, (i'm 15). I'm so sorry you lost your Farken, he looks so adorable in these videos. It's things like this which make me so excited to get a ferret :) The sound of the video for some reason wouldn't work, but i had the song No Excuses - Alice in Chains playing and it seemed fitting. Love your videos :)

  • @MetallicRosez G'day, they removed the audio because of copyright, it is SOOOOO much better with the music, Harry Nilsons 'Without You'. Look me up on Facebook and I can link you to the version with music, Tracy Joy Aplin.

Thanks so much for commenting, and keep in touch, I can help you with any advice you need re ferret adoption. Get a rescue if you can, not from a Pet Shop.

  • what a beautiful video...I am so sorry you lost your ferret. I own 3 fuzzies, myself. They've brought nothing but complete happiness into my life.

  • Thank You so much, I still cry when I watch this. I have three fuzzies now too, just got Baba Ganoush yesterday cause her family are moving to Queensland where ferrets are illegal. She is okay with my boy Frodo but my girl Fanny keeps trying to attack her, hope they learn to be friends.

  • Having a pet go missing is even harder than having them pass away, I think. At the very least with a passing, there's a sense of finality. When one goes missing, it's open-ended...

Whenever I find a lost pet I always take it in and care for it until we can find the owners. Just seeing the joy on their faces from being reunited with them is payment enough. I wish you all the best in finding him. :]

  • Thank You so much, we hold little hope now after 7 months. My partner keeps suggesting that someone has kept Farken as a pet which while comforting in some small way, that he may not be dead, is very disappointing as we feel they would know he belongs to us due to our extensive search efforts and posters that are still up. I still miss him very much. We are the same as you when we find a lost animal, returning them is very rewarding.

  • OMG I am crying. I found and returned a ferret once in Jamestown, NY. I wanted to keep him but I knew someone's heart was breaking. Farken go home!

  • Why Thank You so much, I still cry every day driving home from work. I still can't believe such a small furry creature could have had such a massive impact on my life. And I Thank every supporter for helping to keep Farken alive for me. Very much appreciated. And good on you for finding that lost ferret his way home.

  • A ferret went missing in Fairview Park last week, it was in lost and found in the paper. Must happen a fair bit.

  • Well when Farken went missing I had ten phone calls, 2 were Farken sightings and the other 8 were all found ferrets. They have no homing skills and a very curious creatures, a dangerous combination.

  • That's so sad. A big problem with ferrets is they have no real homing instict. =( and once they get going they keep going because they are so curious! I nearly lost mine a couple of times in the garden.

I love the way they sleep in those extreme positions!

I really hope you find him.

  • Yeh it is hard to accept that they can get lost so easilly. They are so loving and really seem to enjoy human interaction, yet if you let them out the door they will take off and not come back. Farken got out once very early on without us knowing and we found him asleep on the door step the next morning. He got out several times and always came back. And we never 'let' him out but with toilet training new puppies the door was open way more often. I miss him so much. Thanks for commenting.

  • You have put on a very nice tribute to Farken. It is always so hard to loose a fuzzy :(

(And thanks for your kind comments on my video)

  • Your Welcome, and Thank You.

  • I stumbled upon your video by accident, and watched this one first, then I had to go back and watch the others of Farken. I'm sorry he went lost.

I've had 3 ferrets so far, one we got from a very negligent family and she was very sick and ended up passing on, another who ended up living to be 10 years old. And my current little guy, Badger who is just as excitable as when I first got him.

Thank you for sharing your videos with us.

  • Thank You so much for watching my videos and commenting. Farken was my first ever experience with a ferret at the age of 46 and I felt like he gave me something I never got from any other animal or human for that matter. Their intelligence is half way between that of a cat and a dog and you get the best of both worlds. A loving devotion but not the blind devotion of a dog, and the independance of a cat but without the aloofness, that makes you feel so privelaged that they have chosen to love you

  • I love the name Badger, it was one of the names we thought of for Farken.

You were lucky to have one for 10 years, they seem to be plagued with so many illnesses and 4 yrs of age is considered geriatric. I met a 5 yr old ferret that looked like he was at deaths door but the owner said he wasn't even sick, just very tired, I think they wear themselves down with all that personality.

  • I feel your pain my ferret had just died at a year and a half old from cancer.....

  • Oh dear, that is much too young. Ferrets seems to be beset with many health issues, mainly Cancer and insulinoma (or something like that) as well as hip and back problems. Your time with them is very short and very precious, appreciate every moment of it.

  • Such a sweet video...much love went into it.

  • Thank You for saying that.

  • Miko died at 4 yrs old :(

Im making the sims dedication soon.... I might use a Jonas Brothers song...

  • I watched your video, RIP Miko.

  • keep tuning in hoping you have found our little friend its so sad, i bet poor molly wonders where farken has gone. he made me laugh with the things he got up to. keep looking, good idea to hand leaflets out again to refresh peoples memorys. i keep you in my thoughts and hope for a happy outcome

  • Thank You so much Louise, it is Louise isn't it? That is my middle name. It has certainly helped having other people care about what became of little Farken and the terrible duo, Frodo and Fanny, not Molly and Dougal, have been a pleasant distraction for me.

  • I'll keep you and Farken in my prayers. *hugs*

  • Why Thank You so very very much.

  • We have all grown to love Farken through your videos. Keep the hope up. Zorro got lost and was returned home two months later. We are praying for his safe return.

  • Thank you so much Patrice. I plan on getting out there again this weekend and redistributing leaflets. I feel certain he is still close by.

  • He was such a precious baby, I am so, so sorry. Miracles do happen, so don't ever give up. You are right about him not being able to live in the wild, they are not wild, but domesticated. He needs you. This is the greatest video ever. Yes, it makes me cry every time I watch it. I'm very soft-hearted. Farken was a precious baby boy. Hang in there Tracy!

  • Wow, Thank You so much for saying this is the greatest video ever, certainly had a lot of love put into it and I hope that is obvious. You are so kind. Haven't given up hope of finding him yet.

  • Oh Hi Glenna, it's you!

  • well done better to have loved and lost than to never to have loved at alllovely pet we all love your work hope you find him regards from us

  • I would have preferred that he died of old age in my arms, but I know what you are saying. That was always a favourite expression of mine. But Farken needs me to survive, he can't survive on his own in the wild. Thanks so much for your support.

  • Hi TBelle. OH NO. I'm am sorry to hear about Farken. I hope someone didn't run off with him. I will pray that the Lord will help you to find him, and to keep him safe. You probably already know, but don't overlook all the animal care shelters-or vets-near you. Someone may find him, and bring him in. It's positive that April isn't winter so there is still hope. Ferrets are really strong, smart and hardy.

  • Why Thank You Margie, I visited your channel, I see you love animals and are a fan of Mike Oldfields too, I guess thats how you found me. It is July now which is our coldest month of the year and we get a lot of rain in the Hills too, so I worry about Farken but I have done everything I can. Thinking about redistributing leaflets so people know I am still looking for him. Thanks for your comments.

  • OMG TB I just didn't know, now I'm just so sorry to learn this and so very sad for you ! :( Fingers and paws crossed here that Farken will find his way home !!!

  • Well we gave him too much freedom and he took it. He got out many times and he always found his way home but we knew that sooner or later he would not return. With two people in the house constantly opening the door to try and toilet train new puppies, it was inevitable I guess.

  • Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry! He is a charming little man, and I hope he comes back to you.

Much love and support, dearheart. I was thinking of you just yesterday, and I'm sorry that this is the latest news from you.

  • Thank You Darling. I feel he is still alive but whether he can find his way home or not is another matter, I think he was put out by the arrival of the new puppies. We have two new ferrets now, check out my Meet Frodo and Fanny Ferrets video. Thanks for caring, and watching.

  • I will certainly watch it. I'm trying to catch up on YT before I'm without highspeed for a month. Ehheh.

    <3's

  • Shazbut!! you nearly had me crying...don't watch that too often dear sis, you will have no tears left!

    It was actually very beautiful.

  • Only NEARLY had you crying, wasn't very successfull. Makes me cry every time. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
