Actually, this is a rather bad stained slide, however, a diagnosis can still be made based on the small lymphs having a coarse, blocky chromatin pattern. As far as the larger lymphs is concerned, if there were sufficient numbers of them, this would be classified as a mixed cellularity CLL. The significance of just a few larger lymphs is relatively and clinically meaningless.
