I know Ben. I used to take my guitars to him at Mr. Music in Allston, MA (Boston).

He is the nicest guy you will ever meet and a great luthier. He has done work on my acoustic and electric guitars, pedalboard and my dobro. the dobro was a pain in the neck but he did an unbelievable job and i never had to deal with it again!

I dig the TV guitar, ONE DAY I WILL HAVE ONE!

At the end of the day guitarist play particular guitars for the sound not what it looks like, by cutting a large chunk out of the body you will be altering the sound to some extent or another, and if it sounds like crap then no ones going to want to play it.
