This is some smooth shit. Of course we all know how much has been sampled in the past to create hip hop tracks. Songs would get cut a certain way to turn into the perfect beat. Now I'm wondering if there could be a wave for bands to take those smapled hip hop songs from the 90s and re-interpolate them into live music. Just like what EMA has done with these Wu joints. EMA could be onto something here.

or just make cover montages of old obscure songs. steal the good parts, put some drums on it etc. similar to how the jazz and easy listening of the late 60's and early 70's was done.
