no, he doesnt score/assist more because he's playing in a deep position. I understand that Van der Vaart is playing behind the strikers because he scores almost every game, more then Modric in the season before van der vaart came to WHL. But last season when Modric was playing behind the strikers he did assist almost every game. Modric is just a brilliant player no matter what posion he plays. he is in the top 5 best midfielders in England and will be sold to a big club!
