Yeah, the tone is awfully good for such a cheap guitar. You would expect the pups to be horrible. Great sound for slide, and nice playing. Pretty guitar, too.

There's a cool video from MrTwangyGuitar on youtube with a song he calls STUCK IN LAS VEGAS where he uses a similar Douglas Gravity Tele-style guitar with P-90s. It sounds good, too. I've got it in my Favorites if you want to check it out.

The pups are not too bad. I've been contemplating a set of GFS Lil Puncher Modern Vintage pups, but just haven't made the move yet. Thanks for the compliment on my playing.

Just got this amp and the clean channel has a lot of static, does yours? It also smelled like an oven self cleaning itself the first three hours I played it.

For $89, it was worth the money. Not exactly pro quality, but they're a bargain.

i got the same thing in a different finish. i have a agile ad-2300 jr., douglas telecaster, douglas strat, and an sx vintage bass all from rondo and i love them all. the only problem i have with the tele is that the different pickup positions don't seem to produce a very distinct tone. how do you like this guitar and how do you think it compares to a fender mexican telecaster?

I think this guitar was well worth the $89 I spent for it. I haven't really played the Mex Tele. You may want to take your guitar to a music store and compare it to the Tele to see how it compares.
