i think max/msp 5 has a patch like this called mod squad correct me if i'm wrong. great work!!!!

Also, fantastic interface. I always really appreciate good UI design, it shows a certain passion by the author. Especially for a Max4 patch... first one I've seen that isn't fcking pastel. I started out with 5, which almost makes it too easy :)

First of all, I agree with lodevalm. this is the best patch I've seen so far on youtube. Premium features... I love the preset sequencer.

... holy crap, thank you. Many times when I seek inspiration for new patches here on youtube, I end up only getting very upset at how useless many of the "generative" patches are.

also, everything after 2:20 is sick.

This is built upon a tutorial Max patch which is really nice. I remember when i first started with Max 4, i played with that built patch and also made something like this, really fun and great for doing random beats.

At least i assume it was made a bit like the Cycling '74 patch.

Can i make a suggestion also to Grosso1000 that you even try and put a transport on, so every so often it can then create it's own looped beats. Really easy if you have Max 5 mind...

hi poguller , actually i didn't start from that patch.. i started from a feature ofr the object waveform~

my aim was to decide exactly all the edits

with those multisliders i can write precise presets and play them in sequence with the red sequencer on the right

i think max sometimes tend to a random abuse.. that is what i'd ike to avoid on this patch

fair enough. waveform~ is a nice object to start with loop mangling.

True Max can get a bit random, but it is still as addictive as Amphetamines and alcohol...

great job! I think this is 5 stars.  What object did you use for the pitch-shifting? Great job layering the stepping and re-triggering sequence layers.

the object used is groove~

if you connect the sig~ object to groove~ and change the values to sig~ in floating point you can have pitch and reverse effect too (see the help for groove~ object)

very soon i'll show you the use of the slicer! with an external audio source ;-)

oh yes :-) on the next demo you'll see what happend if you record live in the buffer with a periodical refresh

the recorded buffer is then manipulated as the amen break is on this video..
