  • hey what happens if ur welds break mid burnout? lol really i dont know what would happen

  • @s13240sxkade91 there'd be too much buildup for the side gears to turn anyway...at most on wheel would spin for a FRACTION of a second, hit the weld and both would lock.

  • in the European market they were sold as "200sx" and came with a ca18det

  • the video is cool and all, but stop being one of those dumb asses that call there 240sx a 200sx, 200sx is a front wheel drive sentra looking car, be proud of what you drive and call it by its name!

  • @katkidmurphy WRONG.

a real "200sx" is a S12. it was before all the 240 stuff and the sr20 wars started. sure it wasent the best but it was there. the sentra was supposed to be the successor and was in terms of sales. was it a piece of shit in the '90's? yes. i own a '88 200SX. it houses a CA20E. they came with CA18 (N/A, turbo), FJ18's VG30 etc. dont ever compare the 200 to the sentra. be specific fool. -_-

  • I got a big question I bought a 240sx stock 5 speed how can I get a open diff for my ka?

  • @bbwlover493 it comes with a open diff for 89-91, i think.

  • @doped2thegills definitely sounds nicer than a ka.... lol

  • @skwurlking82 Srs are for pussys KA's are for real men

  • @kain161718 SR's are sick man!

  • @skwurlking82 Ka's are better

  • would you reccomend this? way better choice than spending like 1000 on lsd. any problems in the long term?

  • @vrtas123 ive been looking into s13's for a while... kinda dreaming until i can afford lol. but just curious what are the pros and cons of a welded diff? it seems like everyone is welding theres. and also is this with a ka? or sr20? maybe rb20? lol. :)

  • @skwurlking82 pros: drift so much easier cons: wear out tyres like a mother fuker very hard to drive in wet weather

  • All the smoke id say the test went good?

  • I think it works.

  • exhaust needed :)

  • @smashesdomain This is fine.. why get such a exhaust? so all u can hear is the exhaust? i rather hear the motor.. sounds so much better.

  • just get a detroit diff lock

  • Fill cogs with fog, spin on a wheel (the second wheel will follow the same direction now) then drove the basket rotates, then fill in the back also. Unscrew the back cover and fill the rear axle oil.

  • how do u do this can u plz run me tho ?

  • open the back cover only. Flush clean with wash liquor so there are a lot of oil, which can burn (do not know if it is particularly flammable, but does not hurt to be sure). Inside the difference you will see 4 small ran inside a "drove basket", of which two are out to their own wheels and two located between those who bonding so all can spin together. These 4 tows you weld together with each other so they can not move independently of each other. High welding current for the right thick goods.

  • Take out diff open it quick wash weld it well make sure its properly done so no snaping

  • if is right for your driving style great job.

I use to have a tomei 1.5-way lsd in my s14, it was great for daily driving and weekend racing. I liked it was safe, superb for high speed corners and felt very good for drifting. Lasted 2 years of weekend Fun. Now, I am running it welded. Not recomended if is your only ride. welded diff is very annoying for daily driving. Cops will notice you alot. In my opinion, a GOOD welded diff is the best thing for drift and drag racing only.

  • it makes it terrible for daily driving every time you take a slow turn the car bounces uncontrollably but if you let the turn have it the car lets loose like a dream :)

  • DAAANNNGG BABY!!!! nice :]]

does a welded diff like mess the car up as a daily driver?? im reading about it and it seems like it makes it worse but good for drifting

  • well its kinda like posi in a muscle car, you chirp around every corner and if you get on it you will spin. but you will eat ppl off the line. if you get a 1.5 or a 2 way you wont get as much (if any)chirp around the corners

  • I was always told that a full posi diff was dangerous in curves at high speeds

  • ive heard the opposite and that it is very stable on high speed turns

  • I've heard that any pull posi rear end is bad in turns, and thats a fact

  • seriously dude. posi is shit on turns. just picture both back wheels spinning at the same speed on a turn when the inside wheel has a shorter turning radius. make sense? just get an LSD

  • I never said I wanted a lsd or posi anything, I understand how all that shit works

  • oh no dude i was just replyin to that dude Buhritto

  • haha no worries

  • you wouldnt want it in a 96 accord. lol

  • actually I have a 95 s14 w/ kouki front I have a vid of it on here, the accord is my daily that ive had since 2000

  • haha Fair enuuf props on the s14!

  • you guys are thinking of a spool, POSI refers to an LSD (Positraction was the name for the LSD on old mopars)

Spool is 100% lock, 100% of the time, hence being shit for turning, which is what youre thinking of
