Apologies. I was running out of characters to use.
I was asking you why you believed that it is wrong for society to embrace violent entertainment? if that is indeed what you were referring to when you made your last comment "I disagree that it OK for society as a whole to embrace it. YMMV."
Yeah, trust YOUR 8 minutes and not bother viewing his huh? Typical.
I will agree that JT is something of a joke but whatever, if you think that violent games, military training and other aggression factors has no effect on people... Well, there you are.
Any original thoughts on this issue or you going to just say the same things that the knee-jerk gamers take.
Not really a debate. It's a steady progression as you said. I disagree that it OK for society as a whole to embrace it. YMMV.
First off, I never said that military training doesn't have an effect on people - it obviously does if you can engineer a human to kill another human for any reason other than personal defense. but I obviously don't think that video-games have a tremendous impact.
I think I clearly stated my own thoughts, if they happen to be similar or different then what a "knee-jerk" gamer says then w/e
I presume you're referring to the violent content in media that do don't want society to embrace. Why?
you have a life outside of video games?,..what?,..as a serial killer perhaps?

I'll assume that you're asking why I don't want people embracing violence.
I like violence. It's great for release of stress -especially when you win. And pretty cool in games, of which I play a lot.
That said, people may not commit violence from excessive expose to it but the fact remain; people accept it. More and more.

OK, I can agree with that. People are accepting violence more and more, but do we have any other choice besides accepting it?
