i do believe that the MK3 is nbc rated. I have seen a few British training videos and they used the suit for chemical warfare along with nuclear warfare . They do not protect you from the blast or Gama radiation. However they do protect you from the dust,alpha and beta particles
I have one of these NBC suits mine is in olive drab though it came vacuum sealed and I own one of the Russian PMK gas masks. Also if anyone is wondering why the inside is black it is atom-proof carbon.
