I have an HTC Desire, and I've found the Marketplace to be a total fucking joke. You find an app, try to download it, and bam, stuck on the 'starting download' thing. And don't get me started on paid apps. It declines all my credit cards, but seems to accept my Debit card which it says it doesn't. Anyway, doesn't download either way. Resetting the phone to factory settings seems to fix it for a couple hours. Google are taking the fucking piss with this shit. So many complaints, no responses.

I have a LOT of friends who have a Blackberry. Does anyone know if there is an Android App that is compatible with Blackberry Messenger? I dont know how the whole PIN generation would work or if such an app even exists, just wondering if anyone has heard of anything!

@Mrbatboy4 i was the exact same way. but i recommend this because if the droid incredible is so incredible it'd have more memory and standby time than the motorola droid. this has 270 hours standby time i think. you'd have to go on verizon website and look at the specifications of each phone. but the incredible has like 140 hours standby time. so WAY short battery life. It cracks easily especially the screen. the motorola has 16gb memory incredible has 8gb. i'm getting this motorola. u shud 2.

@dawhofan well it has 270 hours standby time. go on verizon website for this and look up this phone. then go to specifications. it has better battery life than the incredible does and more memory. you should charge it at night though because it isn't the best battery life, but it's better than the incredible. 16gb memory incredible 8gb. so don't worry about the battery if you're looking into this phone.

The droid is on verizon right now and all verizon smart phones have to have an unlimited data plan all multimedia phones need at least a 10 doller data plan for 25 mb a month but 25 mb is like one flix message and 5 min of facebook as of Jan 19

Yes, the phone has wifi so you can connect to wireless networks if you know there WEP code.. The phone does require you to have a data pack of $30 so its not necessarily free internet, but free wifi =) The android market is a free tool that comes with the phone, you can download thousands of apps for free with it!

I know there are apps in the android market that will let you back up your SMS messages, but I am not sure what file it puts them in. Just type in SMS backup in the search bar in your android market, a few of them come up. Hope this helps =)

Its a bit easier to zoom with pinching, than double tapping. Although double tapping is not hard but pinching allows to get exactly the zoom you need in one touch, where double tapping takes only a certain way in, then back out.

@eliharkham Umm, Coverage, 3g speeds, I guess if you didnt need those things then yea maybe the G1 is better, oh wait, processor speed, better camera, higher res screen, larger screen, ummm after all that G1 is nothing compared to the DROID. I downloaded the handcent sms and love it because it is just like my iphone was but now when every i get a text message i get two notifications one for regular messages and one for handcent how do i stop this??

All you gotta do is take the notification off for your handcent SMS or your default SMS. Yea it was annoying at first for me until I figured out that little setting... Stay tuned for more reviews! Game review coming soon!!!

@mschiro83 Open the old SMS Messaging app. Press the menu button (haptic button at bottom) then click settings. Scroll down to the bottom and click of the Notification check and you will then ONLY get Notified from Handcent when you get an SMS/MMS

Actually no I havent gotten bored of it, I havent gotten bored of exploring the Android Market, I use the web everyday on it, and man its the best I have used, VZW's network is hands down the fastest IMO. Plus the GPS is amazing and the voice search is great too. I love this phone!!!!!

Yes Youtube comes with the phone, it can be used as a widget but not really practical in my opinion. Sports tap I think is the best so far.. Well see what comes up in the future with the new Nexus one thats coming out on Jan 5th!!!!

All the applications I have downloaded so far are free. There are some kool random games for the Droid but not as many as the iphone obviously due to the fact iphone has been out much longer...
