  • did anyone else picture vulcan?

  • El Circulo no se cierra..."Es Infinito"

  • Musicscore from the Film IRON SKY.... Great!!!

  • To be perfectly honest, I like this cover more than the original.

  • @kithkannan99899 could not agree more its amazing.

  • best version

  • hey you guys, imagine a perfect circle...

  • just...sit and listen... d-.-b

  • Beautiful.

  • Better than cee lo

  • Anyone posting that Illuminati shit must think Dan Brown isn't writing fiction.

  • Es läuft mir eiskalt den Rücken runter. Seit Jahren gehört dieser Song zu den Besten ever und auch jetzt stehen mir die Haare wieder zu Berge.

  • I love both versions

  • i heard john lennon made a shitty cov...... uhh.. no i dont think so..

  • This was a remake the Beatles created this song but A perfect circle perfected it

  • @MrSniper2533 Apc is covering John Lennon's Imagine

  • This is a good song, and I do agree, in the past religion has been used to control the masses through propaganda ect. But I still am a strong believer in Jesus Christ. I personally, do not trust the catholic church, but I believe the main problem of the world is government. They prey on people's beliefs to keep them in check. One day it will all come to a head into a one world government. A new world order. Which i do not agree with. Research the illuminati for more info

  • @MrSniper2335 so you`re the perfect stereotype of a contemporary brainless idiot.

  • I've heard this song somewhere in the past but i cant think where

  • I'm back :)

  • I think that comparison Maynard and Lennon does'n t make sense

  • I'll see tool in 32 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lomar0495 lucky bastard! :D

  • all this song was missing was a good singer, and now we got one :)

  • We can all dwell on all of the problems that we're faced with today but that doesn’t accomplish anything. We need to focus on fixing the problems the best we can. Lennon's message wasnt listened to when he was alive either, not sure if it will ever be listened to.

  • Better than lennons version, only Maynard can pull this off!!!!

  • Maynard is a musical genius

  • I love perfect circle, really, i do. but I think this would be an effective version without drums.... thoughts?

  • @FutureXGeneration lol i really liked the drums (especially the hi hat) in this, but without it it would definitely be a little more...spiritual?

  • @darkflamer23 one of the last things we own anymore is the world.

  • @veganphyllocrust atta boy

  • Amazing, absolutely amazing! If it wasn't blasphemy I'd say I like this better than the original, but of course it is blasphemy so I won't. There is definitely something in the Maynard version that resonates with me though.

  • @darkflamer23 Ти се научи да лапаш пишки, кавал насран, да ти еба путката майна, ще ти трябва, ако те срещна, боклук недъгав! ахаха, колко си прост! :D

  • So what would the world be like if there were no religion or countries, everyone was living as one? It sounds rather stagnant. With no difference there is a lack of potential. It is diversity that makes life kinetic.

  • I think the band did a great job with this, since the band rearranged lennon's interpretation. What a great band

  • @darkflamer23 shut the fuck up kid. the world owns itself! havent u heard? china has us under its property! an same for europe because of US.

  • @KeIIinator china doesnt own europe. some european countries are in financial trouble but china is not paying their debts and taking control. other european countries are still very healthy from an economic point of view. you americans simplify things way too often. guess it's because many americans wouldn't even find greece or portugal on a map or don't even know that europe isnt a country ...

  • @Ca2C4 hey man dont say it that way about us. specially me. i don t see countys. i see just other human beings. i believe in just humanity alone i dont care about race or region we r from. i agree withu bro all the way. im a hippie here in america people say. i dont want ot start an arguement at all with man i respect u

  • @KeIIinator no worries. relax and enjoy the music.

  • THERE IS ENOUGH TO GO AROUND

    WAKE UP

    GIVE A SHIT

    YOU ARE:

    PATHETIC, INACTIVE

    ASLEEP, APATHETIC

    DISTRACTED

    RIGHT WHERE THEY WANT YOU

  • love this cover

  • you thats song is funny man kind has hate in them and well never be at peace with one a nother we will always fight kill and hate tell the time god comes back to this hell and all you how think other wise i feel sorry for you and i well pray for you

  • maynard you made the beatles look soooo stupid

    with this one

  • @kassidinikole01

you made yourself look a little stupid with your comment

  • @kassidinikole01 ... What? Do you even know who John Lennon was?!

  • @AppleSweet01 Ese es un comentario algo ignorante, pero bueno, lo mismo dice mi hermana, jajaja.

  • this is so dark compared to lenonns and for some reason reminds me of batman

  • @KMIN1994 I thought of Batman, too.. :S

  • Ein geiles Cover und eine geniale Band

  • If we had to work together to survive the world would be different. Yes we didn't listen to Lennon because the greed has gotten out of hand. Money is not the solution but an evil that takes us down a path to hate each other.

  • I still prefer this one to the Lennon version. It just brings to mind a post-apocalyptic world, where we're struggling to survive.

  • After hearing maynard sing this, you get a better understanding of what John lennon was saying..

  • Anyone who says a remake of a classic song is better than the orginal is full of it.. Lennons Version was much less aggressive and much more peacefull (the message he was trying to get across) I love APC And Tool, Manynard James Keenan is a Genius for what he does. I think he would agree no one could cover any of his songs better than what he intended them to be. THE ORIGINAL.

  • Comment removed

  • i think lennons was a cry for peace and equality and love

i think maynards is a representation of how fucked up things have gotten and how we still havent listened to lennons message

  • @gnrplusledzeppelin I think you're essentially right in your assessment. Very asute.

  • @gnrplusledzeppelin Very well put!

  • @gnrplusledzeppelin

Same thing I always thougth. Except you said it so simple and well put.

Also: Led Zeppelin, along APC, one of my favorite bands

  • You are very correct my friend, I think that is exactly what went threw Maynard mind before he helped create this song.

  • @gnrplusledzeppelin Very good observation, but also very depressing when you think about it...The world really is going to shit, and fast.

  • @gnrplusledzeppelin Meh, Lennon was a prick and a hypocrite, that's what got him shot. I do agree about maynard's potential message though

  • @snowman1017 there have been stories that lennon was a bit of an asshole, but you dont know that and its very naive to make that judgement till you actually meet them, but how was he a hypocrite? he promoted peace and love throughout his life and never showed any sign of stopping. and btw the guy who shot him says he only shot lennon to aquire his fame, not being a prick or a hypocrite, which btw is a bit douchey to say.

  • @snowman1017 so because he got shot in the stairwell of his apartment building cause the guy that shot him tricked him into believing he wanted an autograph.........his as you say "hypocrisy" got him shot?? hmmm interesting that you would make that comment

  • @pgriff69 @gnrplusledzeppelin I say he was a hypocrite because he preached about a world with no money or possessions, but had no problem living the typical lavish lifestyle of a celebrity

  • @gnrplusledzeppelin brilliant comment! Actually cover is good when it makes us to see some other meaning or accent and it doesn't have any sense otherwise...

  • i wish people wud REALLY listen to the message in this song. The world wudnt be so damn messed up..

  • this is so good.love it,way better than the original!

  • I hate it! they ruined the song the original version is alot better...!!!

  • I didn't even this was a cover. Until someone commented about it.

  • The dark tone underscores the fact that this dream appears to be nearly impossible to attain, and that ordinary people are incapable of seeing it. Yet, it is either this or certain destruction.

  • @Nuclearfox123 indeed. sadly the latter you speak of is what WILL happen - it was too late 75 years ago, enjoy the next decade of this fabricated life because soon.. it will all end

  • Perfection!!

  • Its pains theme because it speaks his goal were all are one

  • me like the dark shizzle

  • so Dark and Soothing..

  • I love John Lennon but this version is very good too!

  • not the same tune:(

  • @vendetta0231 the way they set up the music video was more dark than john lennons version, both are great but they cant really be compared

  • @z7gizzyz7 thats the best part of John's songs...only he could make it the way he did :D

  • @vendetta0231 i think john lennon's version was a lot less dark

  • this song isnt the best man only JESUS CHRIST is the way no free minder....... if u gotta problem oh well

  • @pairofkingsfan520 Your statement pretty much cries "Help! I am no longer sure what to believe in! Oh wait, I know! I will spread panic driven religious propaganda, nobody will ever notice how Insecure I really am!".

    Sad, sad person, you.

  • @blutfrosch mann wow being religious isnt a crime and the last time i checked im not goin to burn in hell so how about u get saved and have a blessed day :)

  • Best damn cover of Imagine I've ever heard

  • Wow!!! AMAZING

  • Eeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! :)

  • @AttilaBlasphemer I don't think we should be worried about how much worse things could be. That sounds more like a threat than anything else. "Don't complain about taxes! It could be worse...". I think the better thing to be saying is "How can I make it better". Hollow Optimism is completely useless, and it's not about changing other people or a system. It's about enough people asking "how can I make it better" and making changes in their own lives. This thought is wasted on youtube.

  • @AttilaBlasphemer It hardly gets better, but it can always get worse.

    :)

  • ... Lennon's version sounds like he's asking somebody to give up their 'everything' to just let go and be in love or something....

    APC....

It sounds like Maynard's trying to convince you of an apocalypse.

  • @Tawnyshine

you completely missed the point, didn't even get close to it

  • Undecided about this cover. It's certainly interesting, and covering "Imagine" has to be one of the most difficult covers to do. Glad I heard it though.

  • <3 <3 <3 the original by John Lennon.... and I am in even more <3 with maynards version......oh how I love you maynard....You are such a beautiful person.....yupp yupp you make my day just by singing :)

  • Why talk about politics and religion on here? shut the fuck up yall know nothing bout neither of those

  • @Jake61192 Gotta love how no one else started up anything else after you said that. THANK YOU. :P

  • I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, the banks and corporations will eventually grow to deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. ----- Thomas Jefferson (year 1805)

  • It makes me imagine about a pandemonium movie...

  • @AttilaBlasphemer news flash America is not the most powerfull. Their economy is colapsing and soon will be a bankrupt nation

  • can't anyone just shut the fuck up and listen to the music anymore? are we all so self centered and conceited that we must force all our opinions on others? if you dont like the song, leave. so fucking simple xD

  • @trekkieqwerty THANK YOU!

  • @trekkieqwerty well said!

  • Great cover more fitting for our generation

  • @AttilaBlasphemer america is the most powerful? in 20 years it will be a chinese province...

  • @sarduspater01 sad but true

  • @sarduspater01 20 years from now is not now. and america has been the sole super power for about 40 years now. although i do see your point.

  • @jointhemodernworld get a life. I saw these guys in concert and they were frigging amazing. This is better than the actual song. Even John Lennon would be proud

  • ... lennon's version is lost in the warped pages of time, along with personal freedom and all of our basic rights, this song is quite a momento of how much the world has changed.

its a shame to think that the younger generations will believe that this is how things should be, that we should be censored, controlled, that our morals and opinions should be diluted for the greater good... i think the would should save a bullet for itself, for when that day arrives

  • but i guess winning at any cost is acceptable if your in charge. go ahead and let me, give permission, galfordigi. we are still the bad asses on the block but the american public doesnt have the spine for mass murder. thank god they dont.

  • wow, im in the military galfordigi. u are pretty retarded in the assumption that we lost afganistan. we raped them, thier friends, family and goats too. what we suck at is being a police force. imagine this...glass instead of sand. politics dictates we dont so they remain.

  • Pure shit.

  • @jointhemodernworld Yeah thats what comes outa your mouth. Dont bad mouth this cover if you cant do better.

  • @mangaread123 Because the cover looks cool.

  • @jointhemodernworld pure ignorance. fucking twat

  • @GetFuckingAngry Worst song ever? Quite possibly.

  • Fucking beautiful cover!! Lennon would be proud.

  • @SuperJefro AH FUCK! I ACCIDENTLY DISLIKED V_V SHOWER THIS COMMENT IN LIKES TO OVERRUN MY DISLIKE T_T

  • @AttilaBlasphemer The whole world doesn't hate america but american politics, and america is not the most powerful anymore (14 000 000 000 000 dollar of debt) remember, they couldn't win in afghansitan too

but u r right it could be worse, i believe it will be worse

  • Maynard sure is fuckin awesome. He's one of those singers that will probably only come around once or twice in a lifetime.

  • @AttilaBlasphemer THANK YOU. I find it disturbing when people think that America is the worst at everything. No, we are just the loudest about it. We aren't afraid to blast ignorance on the tv and internet. But in other places, they are a lot more quiet about it. And silence is deadly.

  • I just saw them live a few days ago in San Antonio TX it sounds even BETTER live if that's at all possible. Maynard is amazing!

  • @GodsIastBreath I thought it sounded the same live

  • they opened with this saturday in philly .great show awesome light show too.

  • -smashes head on wall in rythm to beat-

  • This version is more fitting for our generation...

  • @dvssk8er3 Ya, but the newer generation is all about LMFAO and those stupid bands, and their cell phones, their weight, their look, their clothes, their personality, when did the world become so fucking full of shit?.........Sorry, just blowing off some steam I guess.

  • @BruceJBCpaintball It's the duty of past generations to frown upon present generations, and it's the duty of present generations to not care. Shallow people have always existed, but shallow people in widespread luxury is relatively new.

  • @OJtheModerator I see your point, but I still despise this newer generation, they won' know what to do when it's their turn to live and control our world, everything will crash and fall, I don't have much faith in them at all, but I just hope that they do well.

  • @BruceJBCpaintball You'd be surprised. People are still graduating from college. This coming generation may be the first to have a lower overall quality of life than the one before it, but I'm pretty sure that's because of overpopulation problems. Honestly, my main concern with successive generations is that they keep getting bigger.

  • @OJtheModerator There's technically no such thing as overpopulation. However, there is a carrying capacity, which I'm sure you know means the largest population the environment can support. The problem is that we won't know what it is until we get past it, which will result in lack of resources, and an increased death rate, since that's when we should 'level off' at carrying capacity. What I'm worried about, is that we'll repeat the same mistake of going over the carrying capacity...

  • @RomyLikezCuppycakes Being above the carrying capacity lowers the carrying capacity. 'Overpopulation', as far as I'm concerned, is just the population in a given area being higher than optimal.

  • @RomyLikezCuppycakes why worry? some live, some die. that is the essence and the perfect circle of life ;P

  • @thebuddahmain ....I'm going to worry because it affects EVERYBODY? Not just individuals?

  • @RomyLikezCuppycakes you're either a woman or a boy. def not a man. men don't worry about should have's or what if's. thats weak.

  • @thebuddahmain And you're either making a stupid attempt at sarcasm, or ACTUALLY follow stereotypical gender roles. Like a fool.

  • @OJtheModerator Hmm...Never thought of it that way. Maybe I can show the world what it's becoming after I graduate with an art degree, and use my art to express my views on the world, it's artist like that who are successful (in some cases). But it would be nice to grow up and show everyone around me what is happening to our planet and world, and what has to be done so we can keep living on this planet without destroying it. I hate to sound like a tree huger but it's just something I thought of.

  • @BruceJBCpaintball The amount of humans that nature itself can sustain is about 4 billion. We're long past that. If we want to survive, we need to develop technology in a way that protects nature instead of consuming it. Tree-hugging has nothing to do with it. It's not a matter of saving the trees. It's a matter of saving the humans.

  • @OJtheModerator It's actually 11 billion.

  • @arkyvirus I've seen it listed as low as 1.5 billion. Never higher than 4. Just now I googled 'amount of humans sustainable', clicked the top link and got the lowest figure.

  • Lennon was the inspiration! The original. I love this version only because i know that the inspiration is pure and true. Its spreading the word of peace and love. Its one person's dream that is spreading among generations.

  • It is difficult to cover a great song that defined and inspired a generation. A Perfect Circle hit it, well, perfectly. Like someone else said, Lennon's original was about hope. A Perfect Circle's is a warning. I can't agree with that more.

  • This version kick the ass of Lennon! More times better than the pussy original. Always hate this song until today.

  • Comment removed

  • it's dark and I love it!

  • I think I like this one more... It's much more frightening.

  • I actually like this version better. *smiles*

  • @AttilaBlasphemer lol attila?magyar vagy? it sounds very ignorant to say that all government and religion is bad, but it is your opinion, its all about what you believe in

  • John Lennon was a Libertarian Conservative....who knew.

  • I like the way he changed the hole feeling and meaning of the song without even changing the lyrics...impressive

  • @josssy27 meaning feels the same to me... just less happy lol

  • john lenon wrote a beautiful song but when my favorite singersang it i fell in love. it lets you know just how mutch some people really do need to find anguish beyond hell

  • Lennon would be proud.

    From Chile.

  • Beautiful cover by Maynard!

  • I don't have any feeling towards john Lennon but i like this version more than his too.

  • @AttilaBlasphemer Your the first person to have a valid answer to why everyone hates the U.S, Thank you.

  • imagine there's no Maynard...:(

  • @chibixaileen shut the fuck up he's a musical god

  • @wars14702 lmao i know he is

  • *casually browsing* ... I found... more... .... ... I... Dont know what to say to most perfection.... but.... *replay replay replay, favorite*

  • This song really captures my true personality except for the peace thing, I'd just blow $&!? up with nukes and such.

  • John Lennon's version was more "hey, this sounds awesome!" this version sounds more like Flobot's "Handlebars" like a dictator trying to convince you to obey him and carry out his evil demands. To paraphrase Charlie Chaplin, "by these promises, brutes have risen to power. But they lie".

  • Everything people get their hands on gets f..... up at one point... politics, religion, relationships, ye even simple dialog... Does it mean we should drop it all together? The ideals are optimal, the human factor is not... Politics may be cool, politicians not so much, God is cool, religion not so much, and so on... Face it peeps...

  • Ive thought about this song and what came to me was ... it doesn't matter what your beliefs are... its not beliefs that separate us.. Its when we say your wrong and i'm right. I just dont like beliefs that hurt other people but one day i hope to let that go too cause i cant control others..other then that. i'm startin to like everyone's beliefs.. It makes this world that more colorful.

  • i hope some day you will join us, and the world, is one...

  • This version makes the lyrics sound horrific and dangerous! Makes me reconsider whether the ideas in "Imagine" are actually good, or whether it depends on your perspective. Getting rid of a lot of those things would be horrifying to many many people around the world, while being hopeful to others. Very interesting.

  • I think that this version and Lennon's are equal. Lennon's is hope, A Perfect Circle's is warning. I like them both, equally.

  • @Rikuji20 this one is just more dramatic

  • @Rikuji20 I agree. I feel that Lennon's is like 'Look what we can do, look what we can achieve!' And APC's version is more like 'Look what we could of had.'

  • @Krazeur I interpreted this cover as more like "Look where we can end up - in hell on earth". I think he's portraying Lennon's "dream" as a nightmare (specifically, a dictator's ideal).

But to each their own. :P

  • @darkmeta999

no. hell no. wth is wrong with you. anyone who knows even a tiny bit about John Lennon knows that this song is about world peace.

  • @atheism102 Uh... how, exactly, did anything I say elicit that response? I was talking about APC's message, not Lennon's. Of course Lennon was talking about world peace - it's just that his idea of such peace happened to be pretty much communism. (Yes, I know he was conservative.)

If you're saying it's the same message because it's the same lyrics, though, I should be asking you that question. >_>

  • @darkmeta999

Oh, APC's version. You're way off with the Communist assumption btw... Lennon's message was purely a humanitarian one like the Dhali Lama's promotion of compassion and peace, purely humanitarian.
