@MichaelSar12IsBack In my opinion YES because the owner of the shot is the villain who dismember appliances for parts. The lamp and everyone else is telling their visitor's how he is and what he do! Plus, some of the lyrics and the organ make it creepy.
That hanging lamp with the chapped lips and wacky eyes creeps me out, I would hate to wake up with that thing swinging over me, but I like the fan for some reason. This reminds me of Watership Down, maybe because both movies were cartoons but still really creepy and probably not originally written for kids. I don't think that this was designed to be a movie for really little kids, it also probably has some hidden meaning, like what really happens when you're abandoned or forgotten.
Though I never thought the songs in the movie were anything fantastic, but there's really something compelling about them. There's really nothing like them.
2:17 THIS IS WEIRD?!!! That's ALL you have to say about this, Kirby?! Weird is when your keys aren't on the table where you thought you left them; THIS is on par with the pink elephants from Dumbo! (enjoyable, but REALLY messed up)
During the harmony part (There goes the sun part), you can barely hear Toaster. But in the movie, you can hear him clearly. The soundtrack version is very different
@shparks I'm pretty sure another comedian voiced lampy, but phil hartman was the air conditioner, and he did a damn good job too. what a frightening scene.
Also: It's really weird how they made this version. The background is amplified a lot and some parts of the singing are much louder than others. Radio's voice is almost shockingly so.
@loganator01 Did you notice that Radio sounds like President Franklin Roosevelt? Man his voice is almost exactly like FDR. Just listen to some old video clips of him
@Ryoku75 Thanks. I do not know either. One thing to consider is the rest of the songs on the movie. Note that Lampy can,t be heard on 2:34 the actual movie version.
@LAVENDERACGIRL Also, during the "Somebody turn on the light!" Line, Lampy's bulb is on, but it isn't casting any light, even when the others drag them, away form the window.
The fan is by far the scariest. Look into that fuckers eyes, I swear it's fucking the fan of satan. I'm bloody 18 and that bastard still gives me the creeps...
Whoa! The soundtrack version is a lot creepier than the movie version! Listening to this version makes me feel like I've rediscovered the song all over again as though the movie version were watered down. Did that make any sense? XD
The harmony starting at "There goes the sun, here comes the night" is amazing and to be honest, never fails to tug at my heartstrings a little, for whatever reason.
It sounds like everybody's got their own individual part, too, save for Blanky and Toaster sharing the melody. ;w; Speaker-wise it seems like Toaster, Kirby and Lampy are on the left and Blanky and Radio on the right.
That aside, this is still one badass song. The parts shop was always my favorite part of the movie.
No kidding! I remember watching this when I was little, and so many things from it scared me. That lamp was one of them. Just the way it looked, or something. It really freaked me out. I couldn't watch this movie very much. It's easier now, of course. Haha.
Does this count as a villain song?

I thought the lyrics were "this is strange," not "yes, they're strange." Also, he might be saying "house of wacks," though you can't really tell.

The lamp in this scene was voiced by the late-great Phil Hartman. So was the air conditioner in the cabin.

Just to point out some things no one cares about:
1:11 Loudspeaker thing in the backround
1:14 The area that apears laterin the song is also in the backround
1:42 kirby is in the backround
2:20 Radio's voice is in thewrong speaker. Switch them.
2:34 to 2:45 You hear Lampy's voice in the right speaker While the others are the left speaker
2:46 One of the wires go over toasters eyes. ow.
3:11 Pencil sharpener does somthing with his pencil
Just some random stuff to point out. bye.

Radio's vocie blends in with lampy and Toaster's is so light you can't really hear it.
Emeraldsarepink44 2 years ago 6
Toaster's voice isn't very overpowering, strong voice in a solo song, but even Blankie is louder in a group.
In the film version you can hear toaster, just have to focus.
