It's theorized to get to that level purely due to the lack of true value in traditional paper currency. If there is restored value ora collapse of the dollar, it could go back down as you suggest or way more than just 2 G...

I started buying gold at $650 on a dip...and I've continued to buy on dips. Silver as well even though it's being manipulated by JP Chase, & the players on Wall Street. Buy on dips ONLY. Hold on to your Gold and Silver because it's gonna explode & when it does you don't want to be that person that says damn I had some gold but sold it because the price went down.
