  • Antidepressants are a crime against humanity! Period! I was on them for more years that I would like to admit...now off for 6 1/2 years...and have been struggling to regain my health ever since.

What people do not understand is that antidepressants deplete or interfere with nutrient absorption...the also completely disrupt the endocrine system, increase the risk of breast cancer and damage the heart. They were also only created for short term use. Not lifetime which is now promoted!

  • @2healthnuts I've done tons to regain my health and the liquid vitamin/mineral I take saved my life, however I'm still dealing with muscle pain and insomnia. Since antidepressants contain flouride and flouride competes with iodine so I know I'm low... and since learning how important Iodine is to my health, I'm looking forward to how much more improved I'll feel once adding iodine to my health program.

  • @2healthnuts Thanks for the additional info.

  • @2healthnuts " Antidepressants R A crime against humanity"....etc This is both incorrect and DANGEROUS information. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, but for many millions of people antidepressants can be LIFE SAVING DRUGS. Any doctor who has prescribed antidepressants in the past MUST KNOW that they have helped many people. I can speak catergorically of my own personal experience with PROZAC. It transformed my life for the better. Yes there R side effects- just like any other life saving drug

  • @scabycat You are certainly entitled to your opinion (as am I). If truth be known there are underlying reasons for depression. I personally advocate finding the root cause of Illness. As for (Dangerous and Incorrect Info) how about the fact that antidepressants were only designed for short term use. Yes that is correct! Or that they are prescribed without any medical tests. People with depression could have a hormonal imbalance, Sugar Imbalance, Thyroid Issue, Nutrient Deficiency etc.

  • @scabycat I was on antidepressants. I know what the harm they can do. My body tolerated them for a number of years. Then I became toxic, so toxic you could smell the chemicals coming off my body. I was so chemically toxic that they damaged the retina of my eyes. They caused me to gain weight (because they are endocrine disruptors/disrupting hormone balance), they also caused me to have chronic insomnia which I'm still dealing with today even though I've been off these drugs 7 years.

  • @scabycat I still have pain in my head from taking AD's and NO sexual function. My Central Nervous System was in shambles and I'm still working on that too. As I came off these drugs the doctors were telling me I needed to be on them for the rest of my life. Which would have been only a few more months as I was again so toxic that I couldn't sleep, had serontonin syndrome (pacing, sweating, wringing my hands etc). I stand by my original comment. They ARE a crime against humanity!

  • @2healthnuts " I became so toxic I could,nt sleep"...etc What strength where u on for heavens sake? Is it not possible u were on too high a dose? I understand fully these r powerful drugs. Like many other LIFE SAVING drugs the benifits have to be weighed against the side effects. There R many treatments for many illnesses that don't provide a cure- but allow you to function and manage ur illness ( perhaps like parkinsons ) so why is it any different for mental illnes??

  • @scabycat It wasn't the strength of the meds, it was the length of time I took them. Putting chemicals, any chemicals into your body will break it down, our livers can't process it forever. They push your adrenals to fatigue, they cause your body to start pumping cortisol. Again, my point in telling you all of this is not to piss you off, but to allow you start now to find other ways. Build your body up, go to a naturopath to learn the root cause. Everything has a root cause.

  • @scabycat One last comment! I was your age when I started on AD's. If I knew then what I know now I would go directly to a naturopath and have my hormones (urine) tested. I would have my thyroid tested! I would go on Iodine (see iodine for health) Iodine has helped me so much. Take Vit D & Fish oil. See Iodine4health for more info. I would clean up my diet (taking out sugars/caffeine/carbs) Eat Clean & Take The Liquid Vitamin Vibe by Eniva. All these things have helped me more than any Drug!

  • @2healthnuts " I was your age when I started on ads"...etc How do u know how old I am? OK u have had a bad experience with ads- what about all of the millions of people who haven't? I have been on ads for the best part of 20yrs. I was told it would be a lifelong prescription. I find them SO EFFECTIVE that I become convinced I do not need them any more cos I feel SO WELL , so I work my way off them. 6 months later I am at the gates of hell. thank heavens I can go back on them periodically

  • @scabycat I know how old you are from your channel - it said you were 28. I started on AD's at 29. I was depressed but went in only to talk but within 6 mo's was told I had a genetic condition and was like a diabetic who needs insulin. A bit later I was told I would need to take them for the rest of my life. Sound familiar? No tests were done! But I believed them and told their poison for 18 yrs. I was able to deal with pumping chemicals into my body for years. Finally it caught with me.

  • @scabycat It is very tough to come off them and they do cause you to go through hell when you do. It takes building up your body with high quality nutrients, keeping your blood sugar balanced, & hormonal support. My point in telling you all of this is that I was not different from you in the sense that NO ONE could have told me different. NO ONE could have convinced me that I would have ended up where I ended up. But a person's body can only take these drugs for life! Unless it's a short one.

  • @2healthnuts Con't Iodine (which I'm currently out of) in the form of SSKI has helped me more than just about anything. I heard one of the doctors on the Iodine project say that if people got enough Iodine there would be no need for antidepressants or pain medication and from my experience he is correct. When I take it I have NO pain, not even in my head and I have a sense of well being that I don't think I've ever had. Will it work for you. Not sure. For more info curezone & iodine4health

  • @2healthnuts This is 100% true!!! Iodine has been a lifesaver for me! It makes pain vanish and things become "brighter" (literally). When I begin taking iodine, everything around me looks sunny - that's the only way I know to describe it. Sometimes I literally feel giddy for no reason at all! And it gives my whole body (but especially my feet) sort of a tingly, very pleasant feeling. I am sure others taking iodine will know what I am talking about. Almost everyone is deficient in iodine.

  • @2healthnuts " It is tough to come off them and u go through hell when u do"....etc YES but isn't it the SAME HELL which caused u to have anti depressants in the first place?? I can only speak of my own experiences and of people I personally know. Thanks for ur comments and interesting to hear of ur experiences. How they have my age at 28 ? ha - I wish!! I was born in 1962 and went on prozac in 1992 (?) after experiencing a life of HELL. I still believe they were a lifesaver.cont...

  • @scabycat And what about all the people they've harmed, suicides, homicides, the families of the victims. Many people kill themselves or others within days or weeks of taking them. I feel lucky about that. Very lucky. What about the droves of people who can't get off of them and are suffering. They too like you thought the drugs helped them in the beginning. And oh & the sleep...in the beginning it was the best sleep I'd ever had until I couldn't sleep for love nor money. Wishing you the best~

  • @2healthnuts Cont... Also , m mother in law is on Prozac and swears by them. I have managed to come off mine for about 12 months now ( who wants to be on medication permanently? ) I take fish oil, multi vitimins and just started on evening primrose. But I get great comfort that I can always GO BACK ONTO medication if absolutely necessary.. I consider myself VERY LUCKY that the pills actually work for me! I will put up with the side effects. Whats the alternative - suicide??

  • @scabycat I have just come through Christmas and had a very nasty bought of depression. It came back and reminded me of what a terrible TERRIBLE condition it is. The feelings of sadness and grief and bereavement were OVERWHELMING. How can it be possible to feel this way?? Thank god, as I write this, I am feeling so much better. I will continue my battle and I wish u every success with urs. Perhaps we could keep in touch through these pages?? Anyway- my very best wishes to u for the future.

  • @scabycat Sorry for the delay in responding...been away from youtube for a while. Glad you are feeling better and sure...lets keep in touch here or by sending messages via our channel. Best wishes.

  • @2healthnuts Hello, good to hear from you. I am happy to say I am light years away from just a few months ago- though not completely out of the woods. This is my problem, if I continue my recovery in a few months on I simply will not be able to understand what the problem was. I could not re create feelings like I've had if I deliberately tried!! This is why I am pretty sold on the chemical imbalance theory. How about you- how are you feeling ?

  • zivyokeAnne,

You might want to watch the videos I posted about Dr. Mark Starr's book on Type 2 Hypothyroidism.

He, and other doctors such as Broda Barnes, MD, who focused on thyroid his entire career, say that they do NOT use thyroid tests, but instead a temperature test upon awakening.

They say thyroid tests will NOT tell if a person needs thyroid.

Most doctors are NOT aware of this.

They also note that desiccated thyroid is superior to Synthroid and synthetic T3.
