There is a huge difference between foundational footwork, and many of the French styles. I have been drilled to death on foundation for over 10 years. The French focus so much on their feet when they do their footwork and not so much on their hips. Their pelvic area seems to sink much more than that of a classical b boy. That is a distinct quality of their style. As for originality and crazy tricks, they definately got their own thing as well. Much respect. That's my word.
