Russian basso profundo Vladamir Miller, rockapella's former bass Barry Carl but the true really low basses are in gospel music. Its the music style that fits a deep bass best. You can find some good basses in various genres of A-Capella music however.
Not sure how low Tim is on that note as I am not to good on noting things but it sounds pretty close to the G1 he hits with ease. The song at 9:29 is called Between Me And The Storm. Its off their What A Great Lifestyle album! If its on youtube I don't know.
Tim is my all time favorite and I go back quite a ways and heard most all of the best ones in person from the 50's to present. Now those that prefer George Younce as their favorite, that's fine. He was Great, Great, Great and I enjoyed him for many years too. J.D. Sumner wasn't as good as either one of these guys.
@glh104753 I have always said, I love listening to JD hit the low notes and I do enjoy his singing but as a rule for pure singing George and Tim are my preferences as well.
@ChangsUncle It is hard to say, I know Tim's most comfortable note is the G1 but he can get lower. Now of he can get down to that C1..... Only Tim knows that but I would sure to hear him try on his best day.
I never tire be surprised because for me Tim Riley is a Legend of Gospel Bass Singers - not only this low notes but also the perfect sound quality that is very different from the other basses that sings low . TIM RILEY Is the maestro of low notes / I listened a lot of basses that sings low, but Tim amazes me more than anyone else . Belive me his potential is lower than F - I shure . Thank You for this video .
He nailed it with ease! How low was the last two songs of the vid? Its obvious Tim can get lower than the G1 he hits all the time, its too bad we don't hear Tim slide into a solid F1 and hold it there. Double C, its hard to tell if he cold get down into the JD, Mike Holcomb or Jeff Chapman range. Be great if he would try wouldn't it?
I would be curious to see where Tim could really go if he wanted to get low down. I don't think a double low C would be out of the realm of possibility... Great video....
Thank you for this great video! Especially at 9:51....that song is called "I have seen the light". Everyone, at Christmas, I want you to download that song from i-tunes and enjoy it. It's one of Gold City's best Christmas songs!
I liked and favorited this vid, adam! Great job! :)
Check out 4:11. That's a solid F right there: lowest note I've ever heard him hit.

Tim can hang onto a solid G1 effortlessly. He's probably good for the C1, maybe lower.
