@Grise001 i think that was the commercial space travel jet that never happened because it sucked, and thats a picture of it rotting in a junkyard somewhere, dont hold me to that though
The one at 2:33 is the same one as at :45. Not Lockheed Electra, but more like a DC-6 ...DC-7. I don't know. Is all that really necessary to test those other nose sections? Looks dangerous as hell.
@74madman74 does anyone know of a converted seaplane, converted into a surveillance plane.I saw one in 02,it for sure look liked a converted seaplane. Each wing had large rectangular ridges encircling all around, they looked like an imaging device,&2/3rds of fuselage was fabric to compensate for xtra weight on wings,&for sure it also looked like they converted a seaplane cause of xtra strength needed on wings.it was appx. twice size of private leer jet & following a UFO contactee!
many of them are just test platforms for new engines, systems or even entire cockpits. yes, they're weird, but they allowed the development of entire aircrafts and concepts whithout building the entire plane before knowing if everythin was going to work together.
@1:09 that is a Nimrod, nothing strange about that either.

That one at :45 Looks like a Lockheed Electra with a Boeing 707 nose on it. Wow! Wonder if it ever actually flew.

There's nothing strange looking about an XB-70 Valkyrie. It is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built.
