@modtwenty - shit! How'd you know we were making a fart documentary? That was supposed to be on the downlow. At least this will give us some viral marketing maybe.
@bikinglion mabye they will pay for a fart film! its not to clear in your description where to buy the film or how much it cost, if you want to increase sales put a link in the description to your website. There are movies on you tube if you know where to look, including your movie. Just wanted to let you know i did see the whole movie free of charge. I will buy the movie, note that I (and others) like to research befor buying, trust me its ok to post for free, you make more customers that way.
@modtwenty - I love it when someone leaves a trollish, inane comment, gets called out, and then comes back and acts all helpful. Am I supposed to take you seriously now? Well, thanks for the comment, I did in fact put a purchase link in the description as per your suggestion. I couldn't find the whole film on youtube, but I know there's a torrent, so yes, I know it's possible to get for free, and no, I don't care. People do buy and enjoy the DVD, 'researched' or not, 'noob' or not.
@bikinglion if I didnt care about you or your film I would not have commented in the first place, I view my first comment as helpfull, sorry if my "gamer" slang insults. Becuase I did not see you post clips from the film I posted that second comment. I understand you took time to make this video, to spread the word about your movie, I feel posting the complete film in a series of 10 min clips would benifit you tube community and also your wallet, its not possible to loose sales by posting clips.
@Badgurl1057, and others, you noobs put lots of comments on here against me lol. If I see you noobs on the trail, be ready for a power wedgie so bad that the only chaffing you get is on your vaginas.
Yeah, we started doing weird things with food on the AT because of cravings. At one point we started taking the burrito shells in MRE packets and putting bacon, beef jerky, cheese (MRE cheese is disgusting), and strawberry jam in between them. Great for calories and it was pretty good at the time. At one point we found an onion someone had ditched and was so excited we put it in all our food for 3 days. I still think about that when I see an onion.
Got a good laugh out of this video. Reminds me of my three week camping trip to Colorado. Haha, I remember after stepping out of the wild for over a week and eating real fast food it was like eating a five star gourmet restaurant. These types of things really allow you to fully appreciate the small things in life.
AWESOME MOVIE...just bought it at REI last week and have watched it at least 5 times. if you have ever thought of ever hiking the AT or any part of it....buy this DVD, trust me.
Like the Joker said "If you're good at something never do it for free" I'm a photographer and get the same thing all the time, "how about for free?" People don't get it. Keep up the good work and don't do anything for free!
Bought the whole documentary about a year ago. Since then I've watched it so many times I can practically recite it :) Miles better than all the other A.T. documentaries out there (pun intended). I highly recommend getting it off of amazon.
@acbpis1 - Free would be better for you, I guess, but we made this movie for DVD distribution, not free distribution over the internet. If you really want the movie, you can buy it, after all we only spent 5 months shooting 40 hours of footage and 6 months editing it into a cohesive story, the least we can try for is to recoup our monetary and time investments into the project. I'm an image/film maker. What do you do for a living? How would you feel if you were asked to do it for free instead?
Ramen noodles and high mileage...until you get to the next town. Then consume nutrients in preparation for the next section. Repeat. Over and over and over again. Until you reach Maine. Yay!
I have this whole video and enjoyed watching you guys make your trip. I'm an avid NH hiker, and especially liked the part where you crossed Franconia ridge. :) Well Done Guys!
This is a great clip and so true. On the PCT we had five milkshakes in every town. We got lucky that one of our crew had the trail name "Food Cop" he kept us on the straight and narrow with our slop and gruel. Oh yeah and one pot and one spoon for four people. UltraLight or Ridiculous?. HAHAHA. Anyway, I loved this scene and I would recommend that people buy this film too.
Im 15 and plan to hike the Tennessee portion of the hike this summer. can't wait to do it I'm just worried about under packing.

The coke machine scene is like watching a squirrel trying to figure out how to get at the seed in a protected bird feeder.

Seriously man it only cost $20. I doubt the guy who made it was intended to give away all the work he put into it for free.
