I got my pod xt going into my amp through the FX loop, so it bypasses the preamp. I use a tone called "Eruption" but i turn the phaser off by pressing the MOD button. Hope that helps.

It looks like a Marshall AVT series, probably an AVT100X, but I think the tones he gets are from the Line 6 Pod he has on top of the amplifier.

Well the Line 6 Pod is capable of many tones and it's great for direct recording and stuff but I'm not a fan of it as a preamp like this guy's use of it. I find it a bit artificial, unless it's tweaked like crazy. It's probably awesome if you plug it straight through a P.A. though.

Thanks. Pinch harmonics can be quite tricky. It took me a while to get them to sound any good.

Choke down on the pick so you just about see the tip between your thumb and index finger. When you pick the string, try to pick it with the side of your thumb and pick at the same time. Try this at different points on the string, and you'll find a "sweet spot". You'll probably come across a couple of these and they will produce a different pitch. Good luck!
