I bought a 97 Gst spyder turbo from my cousin for only $800 and he just got it painted black had the same top color as yours but change it to a black top cost about 4 grand total but only thing that sucked was that it had an auto tranny and the car is in the Cop impound lot and I have to wait 2years til I can get it back

Only thing that sucks is I gotta save up some cash to buy me all the parts I need. Then after that I can go smoke my friends with their fart can Honda's

My interior is pretty clean only thing I gotta change are the power windows motors cause there almost worn out but still working but slow

@ENsoWAtS Yeah, I actually just now learned how to drive manual tranny and I gotta say, I love it! Much better than auto in my opinion. My '97 Eclipse Spyder GS is kinda beat up on the inside. I'm getting new seat covers, new carpet, new radio system, and a new sound system. Hopefully I'll be able to get all the parts for it.

wow i was impressed untill i saw your bov. you really shouldnt vent to the atmosphere with the stock maf. instead, since you obviously put some money into your car, you should consider converting to the gm maf. its a. bigger and b. properly allows you to take advantage of venting to the atmospher. oh and ngk wires are better;) but the car is very clean, good job!

I really want an eclipse turbo and the only one I can find is this same color with the tan top. It is so ugly but did you get over it after driving? lol. Nice car. I got a 97 Eclipse Spyder too I bought from a friend recently. Except mine is non-turbo and it's more of a reddish maroon. I got leather seats for it and the Mitsu chrome wheels as well but haven't installed yet.

I need to fix the engine though. Valves got bent badly and I got damage to the pistons when the tensioner belt busted and the timing belt slipped at highway speed.

What engine and turbo do you have? I have 4G64 SOHC in mine.

depends dude. its a 4 cyl turbo, so its not bad on gas. if its got about 15K in mods tho...its probly meant for the track. im sure its a nice DSM, but whoever had it is getting rid of it for a reason, so it might need things like a clutch, timing belt/chain, etc. take it for a spin and see for yourself!
