Why do G1collectors care about owning G1 vintage figures when there are brand new versions available? I can understand forking out big money when there's no re-issue available, but come-on guys, these are nothing more than mass produced toys, now & back in the 1980's. That's why there's always G1 figures available when you need your next "vintge" toy fix.

some are metal, some are plastic. watch out for cheap plastic. REAL toys have the best plastic plus rub symbols. dont buy reissue swoop, hes a fake one as well.

My all time favorite G1 TF figures are Soundwave with Buzz Saw, Ravage, Laserbeak, the 5 Combaticons, the 6 Constructicons, Skywarp, Megatron, Starscream, Reflector, Optimus Prime, Tracks, Powerglide, Bumblebee, Prowl, Hound, Blaster, Seaspray, Beachcomber, Gears and Cliffjumper.

My favorite G1 cartoon episode is "The golden lagoon".

They are just card-holders of different sizes. I buy them from a local card shop, and they work a treat!

Internet websites that sell vintage transformers, collector stores, friends, and some of them are even from my childhood.

Soundwave in the box, man, I had a chance to own that! Then when I asked the guy how much, he gave me a price of $500 USD, and acted like he was giving me a steal. Very nice collection, this makes me miss my long gone Transformers a lot, especially the Dinobots and Ultra Magnus.
