  • what's the diameter and what kind of power does it produce?

  • Nice Windmill

  • I love sitting in my backyard on an evening and letting the wind blow through my hair but when people like you are running these devils inventions and using up all the wind there's not a lot left for the likes of me... If it was upto me i would have these banned so that everyone can enjoy the wind instead of people stealing it to drive these!!

  • Don't worry fingerspies; I eat plenty of beans so can happily report that I replace any wind taken by my devil's invention.

  • @fingerspies haha? you kidding right?

  • Reply | Remove The US uses 3.3 terriwatts of power. How many terriwatts of power could I buy for $819 billlion?

  • hi, nice job guy, have you any ideia what power you get out of the unit ? & what you can run from it, its a/c yes !, have you converted it to d/c,? ??.

    thom scotland.

  • Hey great job!! Do you think the dynohub is better than little motors & Ameteks?? I want to build a dynohub but I have never seen one..I want a simple system.. Wright me back on this please. Thanks Rick.

  • With that annoying noise day and night I'd be forced to shoot that thing off his roof!!!

  • i agree that squeeking is annoying but the design sucks there was probly no bearings at all

  • Wow, I would love to listen to that thing next door to my house all night and day!

  • asshole. you keep paying out the ass for petrol. A little noise pollution beats the HELL out of N2, CO2, and NOx.

  • Are you showing off your lack of vocabulary? or intelligence? with your A-hole comment. Windmills should be left to power companies and homes in rural areas. As more people get them and you have accidents such as turbines coming apart, blades flying off, ice flying off of blades, towers falling over, failures from poor installation and maintenance, etc., government regulations, law suites and refusal to insure home owners will put an end to them in urban or suburban areas.

  • shame you werent around when they decided to pipe flammable gas to our houses...

but I'm glad you dont live next door...

I'd get a cockerel! and maybe a few pigs on the garage roof...

  • To act like Joe blow is drilling for gas in his backyard and sticking a match to it is ridiculous! Natural gas is highly regulated! The gas lines are installed by professionals from the gas company and the piping in your house that carries it is installed by licensed plumbers and inspected before the gas can ever be turned on. The gas also has an odor which can be detected in order to avert problems before they happen!

  • I love wind generators but if i had to listen that noise i would go next door and mutilate the idiot that put it up.

  • lol..thats funny... yeah, these people think I am anti-wind or alternative energy because I said something about the noise...thats not the case at all.Turbines are not for urban, suburban areas, they are to loud,do not produce much energy for the size you can fit in those areas and can be dangerous.

  • It's more dangerous to wait for george w bush to fix the problem. wind turbines will never kill 1,000,000 Iraqis. Ever hear of a VAWT? You may have heard of one but you are not going to hear one. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

  • Think of all the less people using energy!!!

  • Nice work.

Put a flywheel on the hub. It will smooth out the

    jerking or"cogging" in low wind.

  • I am always curious why large wind turbines have only 3 skinny blades..I thought the higher the surface the higher the push?

  • I am not exactly sure but it may be deu to weight reduction. more blades means more weight. and more weight means more wind to make blades turn.

One more point is efficiency. if you look carefully to helicopters, most of them have 2 or 3 blades, or maximum 4 blades. it is about efficiency ;)

  • Why did you put that turbine in that position, among the trees and in front of your house?

Put it in a higher position, you'll get far more energy!

  • Where can you get one of these dynohubs? If you put it on a wind generator, will it create more or less power than a standard generator/alternator on the same wind machine?

  • I`m happy to see this Turbine working.I have the same parts but I did not think that the dynamo would actually turn.I know the Dynohub turns easy, but now That I have seen your Dynamo working I`m going to build one. Is that the Dynomo that says EDH-1 6V-3w? on it.possibly taiwan manufacture?

    Thanks.
