What a moron! It is EXACTLY this government de-regulation, this allowing Capitalism to work unfettered by government (i.e. people) control that brought about this whole crisis. We've only just begun to see what horrors will be brought about with Capitalism left to its own devices.
Wean yourself off Fox news jingoisms Oderunt. Stop being stupid... if you have the capacity... if you have it.
@GoldEagle1887 THat statement makes no sense at all. Capitalism is an evil and unjust system that all holy men say needs to be eliminated for the good of Terrestrial Mankind.
Anyone who looks to the Bible as some kind of moral guideline is a deluded fool. The bible promotes stoning disobedient children to death, gay people and people who have sex outside marriage. It also promotes slavery, racism (it says god curses people for their parents misdeeds which is the epitome of racism) and misogynistic ideas.
I find it hilarious that a priest would complain about propaganda. Religion has used propaganda since it's came around. If you want to see propaganda, look at every single movie starring a bad guy, it's pretty much always an evil rich man. Of course communists/statists will attack me like any other religious nutjob.
Why do all those who disagree with Michael Moore attack him and his person, and not his movies? It always stuns me how people who disagree with him don't really have any views themselves, they just have this idea that any change, or wish for change is dangerous, and that the status quo is always the best solution. Their biggest wish is for all to shut up.
@Crazynakedislamboy I attack both, but the person created the movies, and the movies are complete propaganda that distorts the truth, or makes it look like America is some rotting country were people fend for themselves from everyone else with knives and guns.
Michael Moore is an obese communist who has enriched himself through a career of bourgeois self-promotion. This ironic creature could only have been produced by America's narcissist, hedonist, materialist culture. Had he lived his entire life in socialist North Korea, he'd be skinny, poor, and unknown.
@liltimmyspeashooter Socialism is unsustainable. When government spending exceeds government income, this is called a deficit. Deficits are tackled through elimination of government spending until the government's income exceeds it's spending. If however a government wants to keep it's power, it will want to bribe it's citizens through government programs and public sector wages (along with helping corporations through the initiation of force against other businesses through regulation and tax).
@liltimmyspeashooter (continued) In order to keep up with the spending, the government will increase taxes (which in turn makes prices more expensive or decreases wages since businesses obviously need to make a profit to survive). Of course if taxes are too high, this leads to poverty and less businesses opening up, along with people not being able to afford important resources. The government tackles this in the short run through taking loans from other governments. (cont)
@liltimmyspeashooter Obviously taking loans from other governments can be disastrous which is the story of the US at the moment. It places the debts on the next generations and can only be paid off with either much higher taxes or increasing the money supply (this is called inflation, which is bad because it reduces a person's spending power, making their savings less valuable as the price of resources much higher since the currency has less spending power).
@liltimmyspeashooter The public unions who demand more and more bribes in return for power, the banks (which the government depends on since the power of the state relies on it's monopolistic currency) and the corporations who use government regulations to wipe out competition (you can easily see that regulations and business taxes favor the larger corporations) are the biggest causes of poverty. This is all the result of the initiation of force for profit which is against capitalism (voluntary)
@DoctorCapitalist Your fault is in seeing capitalism as nothing more than just an isolated "economic system" that has been "bastardized" by state intervention. Capitalism is a historically bounded social-political-economic system.
Why doesn't the Vatican donate some of its trillions of dollars to help its followers? Oh, right...they won't even give a plug nickel to little boys who were sodomized by their priests...
@hunnylove84 Then explain how so many parish's have had to sell off their property..the Catholic Church helps millions a year..Catholic charities abound around the globe
They put it on 6 news. To these secret societies the #6 is bad news. They are Evil and are the ultimate mind tricksters. God bless you Father Daugherty for speaking out against this evil.
Now this is a man i can relate with. If he only knew about C.I.A formally (skull and bones society) military mind control research from the 1940 to present day and how they can control our minds by remote means. Watch" Dr Colin Ross on C.I.A military mind control" What he states is declassified from the 1950's what they are doing since 1983 is criminal and are crimes against humanity. They don't need implants today to monitor your thought and actions. It's done through psychiatry / psychology.
lol. The Catholic Church tolerates capitalism out of all systems since the Church requires so much money to remain powerful. They need money just like everyone else and therefore they will not be too harsh on the system.
these evil people, as we have seen, worship money and power.. that is their god..they have no concern for the peasants ...their tools, corporations, show this contempt when they take out the "dead peasants" life insurance policies on people..they musta had a good laugh when they named that money making scheme
a lot of the Clergy have had it too good being provided for by the congregation. Saint Paul made tents but a lot of these modern priests went into religion to be taken care of. Jesus said to be like the birds and the flowers. well the birds are busy each day taking care of themselves. I never saw a sea gull on the dole. but I have seen large blocks of people who haven't learned to do anything useful.
So an ambitious and talented person should be forced to cary these louts upon his back.
capitalism is a psychopathic system. Created and run by and for psychopaths. And they have managed to fool the ordinary people of the world into believing it is for their own good.
Even with their economy destroyed and their treasury looted Americans cannot see through the lifetime of pro-capitalistic programing.
Das Capital is your Bible. America will soon shed the leftists in the House and Senate who want to emulate Europe that has allowed the Mohammedans to proliferate there because Europeans don't want to have kids. Soon you will be under the rule of terror and the Scimitar. What fools that live in an Ivory tower of idiocy.
@Drastam no, capitalism is oriented towards people born into wealth, and to make the psychopath generalization about all people with massive inheritances is totally false. it is my belief that corporate leaders are malevolent geniuses. who else could exploit so many folks and still be admired?
@Drastam capitalism is a system of free exchange and profit motive, both of which improve society drastically. capitalism offers a system where greedy people must offer things of value to other greedy people to succeed. socialism offers a system where greedy people tell other greedy people what to do for the "good of society". take your pick.
@chrispollock Well, I wouldn't call those people greedy. they are the people who give people the option to work and make something out of it, like using and managing money wisely and then having an easeful retirement; that's one point about capitalism. Socialism is about having the government taking control of business and other structures of making a living. It's kinda like when people do not care about how their later lives would unravel, or having a lack of self-sufficiency
That's the sad truth, psychopaths flock to power as moths to a yellow light, and the vast majority of them are incompetent, unashamed liars. They cover for each other religiously, they will try to avoid one of their own to be reprimanded or prosecuted, for fear they may be next.
People need to wake up and demand better controls over the institutions/systems that control and manipulate their lives.
But what about the fire you use to cook the food? Or food that is unhealthy and ends up making you ill? If you really think of things in these black and white terms there's something very wrong with you.
The fixation on saving money, reducing taxes, profit, etc. as the ultimate good is a sign of an unhealthy worship of money.
The money-worshippers would have us believe that money-worship is woven into the very fabric of America as envisioned by the founding fathers. Bull. America is not about greed. Neither is greed the energy that drives evolution and excellence. These are bogus ideas and they need to be ridiculed at every utterance.
@MartinGist Yeah, the framers of the constitution were so giving they kept their slaves freedom and kept poor, non-whites, and women from having the vote.
I agree that greed isn't what drives progress necessarily, but greed is what has financialized the economy and lead to this disaster--and, in every country were it has developed, capitalism caused almost every other economic disaster, even in times of great plenty.
ron paul and i agree on most things, but we both agree that government intervention in the market ALWAYS causes higher prices for anything that is regulated.
Healthcare should NOT be about the "market", it should be a right, not a privilage. It's disgusting that it's taken so long for this to be the case in the US.
it is not a right because someone does NOT owe anyone a service.
they offer a service and in return they get payed.
who the hell would do something so stressful for free?
yes i know it might seem brutal for me to say such things, but if we start seeing these things as "rights", then we can say that food is a "right" or we can say that housing is a "right".
then you have started a whole chain reaction and reevaluation of what a "right" is.
Noone's being asked to do it for free though, this is why we have taxes, so that basic services like the police, the fire service and health care is available for all citizens when they need it. This is the purpose of the government (ignoring all the corruption for the moment!).
And food and shelter, if they're not already considered to be rights, *should* be rights, they are basic things humans need to survive. If these aren't rights then, I ask, what *is* a right?
exactly now we have to evaluate what "rights" are.
personally i think "rights" are whatever society think they are.
speaking hypothetically what if an individual believed that it was a "right" to have sex and that someone owed him that service, such as prostitution. you know? i'm just saying, i don't know i can't really get my thoughts organized right now.
i am really distracted lol cus i am at work right now hahahahaha
That's a stupid argument though, someone isn't going to die if they don't have sex. However people do die because they don't have access to decent health care.
Well, on a basic level it should be the things people need to survive.
Whether it's a right or not, the possibility of people dying or being in large amounts of pain due to being denyed access to health care because they can't afford it in a supposedly developed and wealthy country is pretty disgusting in my opinion. The same with things like education.
In Britain everyone has this right. Now, thankfully, people in the US will start to have this right too.
@KristofskiKabuki I don't mean to jump into conversation, but if I may:obviously everyone has the "right" to food and shelter -only they have to provide it themselves."Need" is not sufficient basis for "right".That's what communists tried to implement. And that's why they failed.
Government is there not to deliver goods and services (it produces none, therefore it would have to take it away from someone first), but to allow people to obtain these in peaceful manner through cooperation with others.
So you think it's perfectly reasonable and sane for a government to stand back and allow people (including children) to die because their circumstanses mean they can't afford their basic needs? Cos that's pretty f*cked up. We're talking about people and their lives here.
@KristofskiKabuki C'mon, don't be melodramatic.Roughly 95 % of people don't need government for their basic needs.Remaining 5% don't need social state, but charity.Altough,I wouldn't even mind state getting involved there. That's not the point of discussion.
The point is that once you start adding more and more "rights" you must re-distribute more and more wealth produced by productive to unproductive, thus increasing numbers of unproducitve people(why bother, when I can't keep what I produce?)...
I'm not being melodramatic at all. Show me the hoards of british people telling the US that they should get out now and that the NHS was a massive mistake. the fact is they don't exsist. The attitude of most of us Brits about the US getting something like the NHS is "about bloody time". I rely on a regular medication that I need to in order to function and survive, as it is I pay a small fee every couple of months, but if there was only private doctors I wouldn't be able to afford it
@KristofskiKabuki The minority is sometimes right; the majority always wrong. ~B.Shaw. No matter what the plebs think, these are the facts: ncpa{.}org/pub/ba649. So much for the performance argument - the US health care IS better.
Now for the moral argument: no offence, but I'd feel ashamed in your place. Taking something without earning it and calling it my "right" is true perversion of the term... capmag{.}com/article{.}asp?ID=9. Are you sure you wouldn't be able to afford it?
yes I'm very sure. As for earning it, I have paid taxes and contributed (and continue to contribute) to society in many ways, as have my parents and family. In Britain it *is* my right to have the medication that allows me to be a functional member of society because it has been decided that this is the best way for us all to look after each other.
As for the US health care system being "better", where are you getting that information from? Or are you just assuming that america has the best of everything?
If you check out the WHO website they have a comparison table of the healthcare systems in different countries. You'll see that the US spends much more than us on healthcare but has fewer nurses, fewer beds and lower life expectancy. It's true there are problems with the NHS that need sorting out, but fundimentaly we're glad to have it.
Oh yeah, back on the taking something without earning it. If your house is on fire, I'm assuming you call the fire brigade to put it out? Don't you feel ashamed for taking these people's time and effort without having earnt it? How about if you get mugged should you only have it investigated if you can pay the police directly and if you can't afford it, tough luck? And don't say it's not the same, it's exactly the same, it's just that you're used to having these for free but not healthcare
@KristofskiKabuki You are absolutely right. Providing things like universal healthcare makes the country stronger, plain and simple. We cannot function well if everyone is starving and dying. It's in everyone's best interests to provide these things. The whole "taking what you haven't earned" argument stems from subscribing to the relentless propaganda of the powers that be. And, frankly, from hatred of the poor. It's amazing how many with this opinion claim to be God-fearing people. Sad.
If this is true then why are all these traveling free health care clinics filling up with HARD WORKING PEOPLE. What you need to do is take a word from the wise some parts of socialism are good such as police, schools, fire departments, and so on. Tell me why does making sure everyone is taken care of scare you is it because you like health care companies and worship a 75 year old man who denies people till they die and raises prices on working class people while he scratches his balls?
I live in britain where we have the National Health Service. Yes we moan about it and it's not perfect, but when i remember what the alternative would be I am so pleased to have it. Any time I have a problem i can just go to a doctor and have them check it out, if I need any treatment or surgery I don't need to worry about whether I can afford it or if my insurance will cover it. There may be slightly higher taxes, but you don't have to pay insurance so it balances out.
I never said the NHS was perfect, there's certainly alot of problems with it. But it sure is better than leaving poor people to die or suffer in pain because they can't afford treatment.
I don't see how providing free healthcare as a basic human right means we're on our way to stoning people to death for adultery. That's just reactionary bulls*** and makes absolutely no sense.
Oh, and seeing as you're so into "the market", there are also private hospitals in the UK, so that those who can afford to do so can have the choice of something other than the NHS if they so wish. Most people don't however
the only place wealth is created is in the private sector. Government doesn't create wealth it only take it from those who make wealth. The Government isn't virtuous nor is it made up of generous people. It tends to grow by way of entitlement programs. this kills worse than a cancer.
But why should healthcare be about making wealth? It should be about providing a service and helping people when they get sick, not making money. There are pleanty of other industries for people to go into if they want to make money, but I wouldn't want that to be the focus of someone who was treating me.
But if they're thinking about making money off you they're not going to be treating you as well. I know about this from experiance, my father died a few years ago after surgery to have his gall bladder removed went wrong. It was in a private clinic and they were cutting corners all over the place to save money, they didn't have any blood and hadn't worked out the system to get it when needed.
At the inquest it was said "surgery should be about safety, not what you can get away with"
I wish I was a plant by wall street!! I would be making big bucks (money).
Being a Jew I'm have told I am a plant by the WALL STREET pigs since I was ten!!! Back then I was told by blacks "you Jews controlled the slave trade". Today, "you Jews control the white house (no matter who is president)."
ha ha no you dont, DONT try and turn my comment into an anti semitic argument (nice try tho!) I am not one who blames "the jews" for all the evils in the world No no I put the blame on the elite few (and they are of ANY race) who have the monopoly of power in the world and we are all but the pawns in their game (pawns being presidents too) I just called you a wall street plant because you made the cynical comment that corymd3470 was a Michael Moore plant! arrogant (or paraniod)of you!
Over the years I have encountered people who used lines in the past to blame Jews (control, money, etc) but paint others with the same crap.
For example, a book called "christian fascist" states people like jerry fallwell control the white house and told former president bush to invade bring about the end of the world. What I read of this book reminds me of the "protocol of the elders of zion". This books blames Rothschild for controlling the world.
Anyone with a brain knows the 'Protocol of the elders of zion" is not jewish It was written in 1864 by frenchman maurice Joly a lawyer& revolutionary as a political satire( attacking Napolean/third) it was originally called" a dialogue in hell " but was confiscated by the french police later picked up by the russians etc look it up !BUT the Rothchilds, bilderberg group, etc DO control the world AND so what if moore &Castro are rich ? its irrelevant or are only bad guys allowed to be ?
Regarding your comments on the protocals, very good. Very few know that. Many believe it is true. Also, many use the ideas from it to blame other groups.
Have you noticed that michael moore does NOT cover bilderberg, bohemian grove, CFR? Why? because he is in bed with those groups.
more people than you realise KNOW the protocols are a propoganda tool , the protocols has been around for years so if this great conspiracy is true why is it so freely available to the ones they conspire against? see apart from the facts simple LOGIC tells you its bs! BUT dont assume Moore because he doesnt mention the Bilderbergs etc that hes in with them HE knows they can shut him down FAST so he treads carefully not too extremely BUT just enough to get the movies out there SMART !
yeeee hhaaa that would be FANTASTIC wonder how many "religions" would survive such an assault and may the catholic church be the first to fall and all its mafia in ROME (followed of course by all other "religions") Then we might all have a chance of achieving world PEACE
Look, just because there is more regulation and checks on financial institutions doesnt mean socialism. I live in Australia and we have a great health care system and it isnt socialism. Do you think Australia is a socialist country? We didnt go into recession and have the strongest economy in world at moment. We have more regulation than you guys. You got nothing to fear from this thing you think is 'socialism'.
AND? so what if "moores in with Chavez and Fidel" Oh thats right you lot in the USA have been brainwashed into believing they are "the bad guys" ha ha So funny !! heres an IDEA why dont you go to Venezuela and Cuba and check for yourself how BAD these presidents are before you make judgements based on the crap your govt and media TELL you is the "truth" GEE wasnt it NIXON who said "have faith BUT check everything " So do it ! check EVERYTHING your govt tells you & INFORM yourself
If capitalism is "radically evil' then how would you define socialism and communism and fascism. Would you have the freedom to achieve in those systems? I think not. Isn't the priesthood a form of socialism and communism? So how can Father Dougherty think otherwise about capitalism?
You guys don't understand what socialism mean... There are a lot of socialist countries in europe, check the level of education, quality of healthcare etc.. from these places compared to where the US stands.
Socialism is a prescription for failure and the creed of ingorance and envy. I do not choose to give the fruits of my labor to those who cannot produce for themselves. Quality of healthcare in socialist countries is a catastrophe. Ask those who come to the United States for their healthcare.
I say this with all due respect ; have you ever traveled outside of your country ? or at least , have you ever even glanced at the statistics on this issue?
Here's food for thought: England, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark,( to name but a few...) ; all these places have free healthcare, we pay for it with taxes and it allows anyone no matter who they are to get any kind of treatment they need.
Contrary to popular belief. I also do not need to travel to know that waiting years for necessary medical attention which could be a matter of life or death is prevalent in your much touted health care system. In Great Britain it has been decided that women with breast cancer will not be allowed to get the treatment they need for survival. This is a death sentence. Deny this!
Nothing of the sort has been decided in england. Where the hell do you get this crap from? It's unbelievable to say such things.
"Wating lines" ???? What planet are you from? no... you're wrong. In fact it's way faster than the US in most cases because there's no need to check with the insurance company. You just go to the hospital and get treated.
Not ridiculous. It's true check it out. See how misinformed you are. I had emergency surgery last February. I do not have insurance. I was taken right in the operating room. No insurance company was called upon. And I just filled out the proper forms and my total hospital stay was taken care of by the hospital . You are grossly mis informed on the health care issues. No disrespect intended.
me misinformed? You're the one who thinks people are left to die in england . You're the one who think that people have to wait years for treatment in other countries !
As for emergency surgery in the states; they have to provide in emergency situation because of the hypocratic oath. Then they "kill" you with the bills!
The lack of proper coverage in the states causes an average of 45.000 deaths every year and medical bills are the cause for most of the bankrupty filings for middle class households. (cfr. American Journal of Public Health/ CDCP).
You don't know what you're talking about obviously.
As for the "flock to the US for your healthcare" , you almost made me laugh. There are two well known hospitals in Brussels that focus on cancer treatment; the amount of americans in there is staggering. US citizens go to canada and even to mexico to avoid being obliterated by bills.
It's also a matter of ethics; I am prepared to contribute my hard earned cash to help others because I know that if I ever am in that situation, I will also be helped. It's called solidarity.
The cancer treatment offered in Brussels is a hail prayer after all other legitimate treatments have been exhausted. It is a last dictch effort by those unfortunate to have the disease to try an experimental procedure that has not been approved by the FDA in America. I am glad that you are so generous with your hard earned wealth. I'll bet you pay over 50% in taxes also! Why bother working at all? Just have others take care of you. Not the American way. I would rather take care of myself!
Well that's pretty selfish of you ... I for one do care about the quality of life of others. I do pay a lot of taxes but I still have a nice house, I have a car, I have paid vacations, my schooling was free... It's really a comfortable life.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about; Bordet Bruxelles is not a "hail prayer" , I wonder whose ass you got that from.
Keep on taking care of yourself and only yourself; what a nice human being you are..
Civil services. Now you are comparing apples to oranges. Yes! The government must work for the people but not to the point of controlling their lives and freedom of choice.
I don't see how providing healthcare and education is controling their lives. It's quite the opposite in fact, it gives people the tools to emancipate themselves. And not only that, it shows that the well being of people is and should be a concern.
It is controlling their lives by dictating to the patient whether he or she can or cannot have the surgery or procedure and when. That does exist here on a limited basis but for the most part we are free to choose. We do not need rationed health care here. We do need some changes to make it more affordable to everyone, but not a major overhaul and the majority of American people agree with me on this. Hence the tea parties and town hall meetings.
Well it doesn't work that way here in europe either. If you need a surgery, you will have it no questions asked no matter what the cost and you can choose where you want the surgery performed. Health care is not rationned at all and it's not just affordable,IT IS FREE.
See? you have been told lies about the healthcare in europe. So please stop saying we have "rationned health care" or "we don't have a choice" or "we have huge waiting periods" . You are wrong , plain and simple.
It is not free. It is paid for by the people through high taxes. By the way, if your Europe is so great, why do millions of people come to the United States for a better way of life and to fulfill or realize their dreams. Europe: a great place to visit, but I would not want to live there.
I already adressed the issue of taxes. Yes we pay more taxes but guess what; no one dies because of lack of access to healthcare. That's pretty good compared to the 45000 thousand people who die each year in the states for that reason alone.
Many people flock to europe as well. And I didn't say america was bad; I am sayinh its healthcare and education system suck as the stats show.
I bet you would not like it here; we're not selfish (well most of us aren't) and we care about people's well being
America, is however a nation of immigrants. It is called the melting pot of the world. I care about the well being of others, but I do not want any hand outs. That's the difference as I stated before I want the government off my back and out of my wallet. .
Fair enough but if I could just leave you with one thing : no matter what your opinion might be, please stop spreading those misconceptions about healthcare in Europe and Canada. There are no panels deliberating on whether someone should or should not be treated. There aren't any horrendous waiting lists, The quality of care is not a "bargain priced placebo".
Hey guy, I live next to the broader with Canada. They tell me their are waiting lists and people not getting healthcare. I worked in IT departments of medical related companies and have seen it with my own eyes.
But you forgot to mention, that if the government controls education, they will control what is covered. As you can see today many left-wing/communist ideas are pushing down the minds of children in the classroom.
The comments by the fool Falloutmoon just shows how far down Europe has gone. If you want to know more please read the book "America alone" by Mark Styen.
Thanks ! The world is so full of mis-conceptions about America. We are the first and only nation that comes to the aid of all other countries in their time of need and disaster. Where do the European nations hide when atrocities such as genocide and disasters such as tsunamis and earth quakes ravage the populations. We must continue to stand up for the American way and that is certainly not socialism and it never will be!!!
Most do not like that we help foreign countries before helping in our own country. We should have built up New Orleans by now it has been three years since Katrina. I would be totally in favor of America declaring itself sovereign, but maybe that is not the humanitarian way.
Wrong it would be VERY humanitarian if usa declared itself sovereign ! Not just to its own people but HUMANE to all the people of Iraq ,afghanistan, iran, venezuela , cuba., africa., and the list goes on and on and on These countries would be very thankful if usa stopped putting its nose into their affairs and clean up its OWN back yard first ! Imagine all that money spent on your military and false flag wars going to THE PEOPLE instead!! the WORLD would be CHEERING to be rid of usa
USof A needs to spend money on the military to prevent despots and terrorists from rogue nations from their anti American agenda. George Bush will go down in the annals of history asa a great president who stood up for humanitarian rights of people of all nations who were being massacred by it's tyrant regimes. Saving countless numbers of humans beings from cruel and unusual punishment. God's people deserve to live their lives in peace and comfort without fear of reprisal for their beliefs.
is that you George w Bush ? trying to clean your name here on youtube? I knew you were a lowlife but this takes the cake! OR if this is a real person I suggest you get back on your medication FAST your delusions are starting to get out of control anyone who says "bush" and humanitarian " in the same sentence is in serious need of psychiatric help AND anti psychotic medication !!! USA is a tyrant regime masquerading as a democracy and BUSH was its worst DICTATOR
You see it your way, I'll see it mine. But please stick to the facts and not foolish derogatory innuendo . George Bush has kept the country free from further terrorist attachs and because of his policies foiled many attempts. Just recently this was proven and will be time and time again. It's tough to be tough. Didn't care about public polls when making important decisions as previous president. and is a far cry better than what is in office now. He who dismantles and weakens America
You say "you see it your way and I will see it mine" feel really sorry for you You see my problem with you is that you dont SEE at all you are blinded by ignorance as is proved by contents of your message eg:"a far cry better than what is in office now he who weakens america "?HELLO BUSH already did that ! &created false flag wars, bankrupt economy etc NOT the NEW guy they put him in charge like a house nigger to clean up the rich white boys mess but who knows if he can or will
This mess as it is was made long before Bush or Obama ever stepped foot in office. Years and years of mismanagement and corruption started with Carter.
Ah leave poor ol jimmy alone !! HE didnt "start" anything keep digging DEEPER and youll find the rot set in YEARS before (like 70yrs) Carter !! there is a much bigger game at play here if people would just wake up to it !
Dont be silly they dont smoke!! No no no they just SELL the tobacco to us SO we will smoke then sit back and rack in the trillion dollar profits from it
just another example of the pawns we are in their sick game BUT HAVE NO DOUBT they do sit around in their oak panelled rooms and determine the fates of nations NO breaking news there!!!ONLY difference now is that more people are onto them so its becoming a little harder to hide than before (ie bilderberg group etc)
Capitalism is an economic system and democracy is a political system. Moore is advocating democracy in the US.
We now have a corporate dictatorship that runs our media, controls information, and what people are talking about.
More democratic countries, like the ones with multi party parliamentary systems already have regulated corporations and workers have more right - like to health care and unemployment benefits.
Moore wants to replace capitalist dictator with democracy!
We are a bankrupt Nation & we must get back into solvency. We do that by putting the financial system threw a Glass-Steagall Bankruptcy. We eliminate the FED & adopt a National Credit system call for in our Constitution. We invest in infrastructure, agriculture & industry & create lots & lots of blue collar jobs. We will bring back all our industries that Global Free Trade Capitalism has outsourced. We don't need Wall Street or the FED anymore! Google: LPACTV: Audio Preview, The LaRouche Plan
The problem with this whole Capitalism debate is people think our failed banks and huge insurance companies are Capitalistic....They are NOT...They are unchecked, exploitative, and distructively greedy.....once people or companies get so big that they OWN people which is what these companies are doing with our government then there's trouble. We make laws so citizens can't hurt citizens...there's nothing un-American about protecting the small from the big.
You guys are really a joke who believe capitalism is evil. Capitalism started back in even the days of trade before a monetary system. In all things there needs to be laws and regulation and as well ...in all things there are just and crooked people. So what is the answer then? Socialism? Socialism has been tried and tried again. Can't you people think for yourself without government guidance? What a bunch of pitiful people you are that depend on government to take your hand!
In a democracy, we depend on our government not to take our hand, but to represent our wishes. Ideally we think for ourselves and make our will known to our elected representatives. Sadly, they are too often more concerned with carrying out the will of those who finance their campaigns. I've not yet seen the film, but the reviews seem to suggest that Moore's quibble is not with a genuinely free market, but with the bastardized welfare for the rich that "capitalism" has become in this country.
This country is messed up. The more I read and hear about the economic mess we're in the more I want to live in Norway. Norway was voted three times in a row as the greatest country to live in. The people are happy, contented and have the lowest mortality rate. Health and education is free. They start out with a mandatory six weeks vacation for all employees. They have the lowest crime rate and the streets are clean. Sounds like paradise on earth.
I have been wondering if you could help me. If there is A NWO (New World Order) what is the (Old World Order?)
Is the Civil war (NWO) or OWO? Is the Holocaust NWO or OWO? Is School shootings NWO or OWO? Is The Banking theft NOW or OWO? Is corruption NWO or OLD WORLD ORDER? Is child abuse NWO or OWO.
the idea that capitalism is evil is nothing new. the Church has spoken out against capitalism for hundreds of years, in fact they probably would've been allied with communists the world over if it wasn't for the predominant atheism involved in the movement. the Eastern Orthodox Church was supportive of the bolsheviks until they started closing parishes and taking valubles from the churches.
"The Church has spoken out against capitalism for Hundreds of years"
Prove it. Even if your right, the idea that Capitalism is Evil is certainly not Church Doctrine.
"The probably would have been allied with Communists the world over if it wasnt for the predominant Atheism"
And the Millions upon Millions of people dead through Murder and Starvation, the Thousands lying dead in Afghanistan, Poland and Cambodia. After those minor hiccups, of course the church would side with the communists.
The Catholic church loves capitalism. They love money. The pope and his red shoes would gladly rape Jesus and roast him over hot coals for the ticket take at the door of the coliseum.
Look Michael Moore, we don't need Socialism and we don't need Capitalism. Both systems are controlled by a greedy parasitic ruling class that keeps society enslaved and under their thumb.

DoctorCapitalist 7 months ago
Why do all those who disagree with Michael Moore attack him and his person, and not his movies? It always stuns me how people who disagree with him don't really have any views themselves, they just have this idea that any change, or wish for change is dangerous, and that the status quo is always the best solution. Their biggest wish is for all to shut up.
Crazynakedislamboy 1 year ago 4
@Crazynakedislamboy I attack both, but the person created the movies, and the movies are complete propaganda that distorts the truth, or makes it look like America is some rotting country were people fend for themselves from everyone else with knives and guns.

liltimmyspeashooter 7 months ago
@liltimmyspeashooter Socialism is unsustainable. When government spending exceeds government income, this is called a deficit. Deficits are tackled through elimination of government spending until the government's income exceeds it's spending. If however a government wants to keep it's power, it will want to bribe it's citizens through government programs and public sector wages (along with helping corporations through the initiation of force against other businesses through regulation and tax).
DoctorCapitalist 7 months ago
@liltimmyspeashooter (continued) In order to keep up with the spending, the government will increase taxes (which in turn makes prices more expensive or decreases wages since businesses obviously need to make a profit to survive). Of course if taxes are too high, this leads to poverty and less businesses opening up, along with people not being able to afford important resources. The government tackles this in the short run through taking loans from other governments. (cont)
DoctorCapitalist 7 months ago
@liltimmyspeashooter Obviously taking loans from other governments can be disastrous which is the story of the US at the moment. It places the debts on the next generations and can only be paid off with either much higher taxes or increasing the money supply (this is called inflation, which is bad because it reduces a person's spending power, making their savings less valuable as the price of resources much higher since the currency has less spending power).
DoctorCapitalist 7 months ago
@DoctorCapitalist Oh and that fucks up the poor more than any business man in a monocle.
DoctorCapitalist 7 months ago
@liltimmyspeashooter The public unions who demand more and more bribes in return for power, the banks (which the government depends on since the power of the state relies on it's monopolistic currency) and the corporations who use government regulations to wipe out competition (you can easily see that regulations and business taxes favor the larger corporations) are the biggest causes of poverty. This is all the result of the initiation of force for profit which is against capitalism (voluntary)
DoctorCapitalist 7 months ago
@DoctorCapitalist Your fault is in seeing capitalism as nothing more than just an isolated "economic system" that has been "bastardized" by state intervention. Capitalism is a historically bounded social-political-economic system.

danielmalpollitt 6 months ago
@Drastam capitalism is a system of free exchange and profit motive, both of which improve society drastically. capitalism offers a system where greedy people must offer things of value to other greedy people to succeed. socialism offers a system where greedy people tell other greedy people what to do for the "good of society". take your pick.
chrispollock 5 months ago
@chrispollock Well, I wouldn't call those people greedy. they are the people who give people the option to work and make something out of it, like using and managing money wisely and then having an easeful retirement; that's one point about capitalism. Socialism is about having the government taking control of business and other structures of making a living. It's kinda like when people do not care about how their later lives would unravel, or having a lack of self-sufficiency
GoldEagle1887 2 months ago
@Drastam

Healthcare should NOT be about the "market", it should be a right, not a privilage. It's disgusting that it's taken so long for this to be the case in the US.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
well i disagree with you.
it is not a right because someone does NOT owe anyone a service.
they offer a service and in return they get payed.
who the hell would do something so stressful for free?
yes i know it might seem brutal for me to say such things, but if we start seeing these things as "rights", then we can say that food is a "right" or we can say that housing is a "right".
then you have started a whole chain reaction and reevaluation of what a "right" is.
your thoughts?
101zulu 1 year ago
Noone's being asked to do it for free though, this is why we have taxes, so that basic services like the police, the fire service and health care is available for all citizens when they need it. This is the purpose of the government (ignoring all the corruption for the moment!).
And food and shelter, if they're not already considered to be rights, *should* be rights, they are basic things humans need to survive. If these aren't rights then, I ask, what *is* a right?
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
exactly now we have to evaluate what "rights" are.
personally i think "rights" are whatever society think they are.
speaking hypothetically what if an individual believed that it was a "right" to have sex and that someone owed him that service, such as prostitution. you know? i'm just saying, i don't know i can't really get my thoughts organized right now.
i am really distracted lol cus i am at work right now hahahahaha
101zulu 1 year ago
That's a stupid argument though, someone isn't going to die if they don't have sex. However people do die because they don't have access to decent health care.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
@KristofskiKabuki can you please tell me your definition of a "right".
because that's where we get stuck.
101zulu 1 year ago
Well, on a basic level it should be the things people need to survive.
Whether it's a right or not, the possibility of people dying or being in large amounts of pain due to being denyed access to health care because they can't afford it in a supposedly developed and wealthy country is pretty disgusting in my opinion. The same with things like education.
In Britain everyone has this right. Now, thankfully, people in the US will start to have this right too.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
@KristofskiKabuki I don't mean to jump into conversation, but if I may:obviously everyone has the "right" to food and shelter -only they have to provide it themselves."Need" is not sufficient basis for "right".That's what communists tried to implement. And that's why they failed.
Government is there not to deliver goods and services (it produces none, therefore it would have to take it away from someone first), but to allow people to obtain these in peaceful manner through cooperation with others.
pooltoo 1 year ago
So you think it's perfectly reasonable and sane for a government to stand back and allow people (including children) to die because their circumstanses mean they can't afford their basic needs? Cos that's pretty f*cked up. We're talking about people and their lives here.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
@KristofskiKabuki C'mon, don't be melodramatic.Roughly 95 % of people don't need government for their basic needs.Remaining 5% don't need social state, but charity.Altough,I wouldn't even mind state getting involved there. That's not the point of discussion.
The point is that once you start adding more and more "rights" you must re-distribute more and more wealth produced by productive to unproductive, thus increasing numbers of unproducitve people(why bother, when I can't keep what I produce?)...
pooltoo 1 year ago
I'm not being melodramatic at all. Show me the hoards of british people telling the US that they should get out now and that the NHS was a massive mistake. the fact is they don't exsist. The attitude of most of us Brits about the US getting something like the NHS is "about bloody time". I rely on a regular medication that I need to in order to function and survive, as it is I pay a small fee every couple of months, but if there was only private doctors I wouldn't be able to afford it
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
@KristofskiKabuki The minority is sometimes right; the majority always wrong. ~B.Shaw. No matter what the plebs think, these are the facts: ncpa{.}org/pub/ba649. So much for the performance argument - the US health care IS better.
Now for the moral argument: no offence, but I'd feel ashamed in your place. Taking something without earning it and calling it my "right" is true perversion of the term... capmag{.}com/article{.}asp?ID=9. Are you sure you wouldn't be able to afford it?
pooltoo 1 year ago
yes I'm very sure. As for earning it, I have paid taxes and contributed (and continue to contribute) to society in many ways, as have my parents and family. In Britain it *is* my right to have the medication that allows me to be a functional member of society because it has been decided that this is the best way for us all to look after each other.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
As for the US health care system being "better", where are you getting that information from? Or are you just assuming that america has the best of everything?
If you check out the WHO website they have a comparison table of the healthcare systems in different countries. You'll see that the US spends much more than us on healthcare but has fewer nurses, fewer beds and lower life expectancy. It's true there are problems with the NHS that need sorting out, but fundimentaly we're glad to have it.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
Oh yeah, back on the taking something without earning it. If your house is on fire, I'm assuming you call the fire brigade to put it out? Don't you feel ashamed for taking these people's time and effort without having earnt it? How about if you get mugged should you only have it investigated if you can pay the police directly and if you can't afford it, tough luck? And don't say it's not the same, it's exactly the same, it's just that you're used to having these for free but not healthcare
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago 3
@KristofskiKabuki You are absolutely right. Providing things like universal healthcare makes the country stronger, plain and simple. We cannot function well if everyone is starving and dying. It's in everyone's best interests to provide these things. The whole "taking what you haven't earned" argument stems from subscribing to the relentless propaganda of the powers that be. And, frankly, from hatred of the poor. It's amazing how many with this opinion claim to be God-fearing people. Sad.

KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
Oh, and seeing as you're so into "the market", there are also private hospitals in the UK, so that those who can afford to do so can have the choice of something other than the NHS if they so wish. Most people don't however
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
the only place wealth is created is in the private sector. Government doesn't create wealth it only take it from those who make wealth. The Government isn't virtuous nor is it made up of generous people. It tends to grow by way of entitlement programs. this kills worse than a cancer.
patfealy 1 year ago
But why should healthcare be about making wealth? It should be about providing a service and helping people when they get sick, not making money. There are pleanty of other industries for people to go into if they want to make money, but I wouldn't want that to be the focus of someone who was treating me.
KristofskiKabuki 1 year ago
i really wouldn't care if all they cared about was making money off of me, as long as they treat me.

Socialism is a prescription for failure and the creed of ingorance and envy. I do not choose to give the fruits of my labor to those who cannot produce for themselves. Quality of healthcare in socialist countries is a catastrophe. Ask those who come to the United States for their healthcare.
manliter 2 years ago
I say this with all due respect ; have you ever traveled outside of your country ? or at least , have you ever even glanced at the statistics on this issue?
Here's food for thought: England, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark,( to name but a few...) ; all these places have free healthcare, we pay for it with taxes and it allows anyone no matter who they are to get any kind of treatment they need.
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
Contrary to popular belief. I also do not need to travel to know that waiting years for necessary medical attention which could be a matter of life or death is prevalent in your much touted health care system. In Great Britain it has been decided that women with breast cancer will not be allowed to get the treatment they need for survival. This is a death sentence. Deny this!
manliter 2 years ago
Of course I deny it ! lol
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
Not ridiculous. It's true check it out. See how misinformed you are. I had emergency surgery last February. I do not have insurance. I was taken right in the operating room. No insurance company was called upon. And I just filled out the proper forms and my total hospital stay was taken care of by the hospital . You are grossly mis informed on the health care issues. No disrespect intended.
manliter 2 years ago
me misinformed? You're the one who thinks people are left to die in england . You're the one who think that people have to wait years for treatment in other countries !
As for emergency surgery in the states; they have to provide in emergency situation because of the hypocratic oath. Then they "kill" you with the bills!
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
Didn't pay a dime at the Cleveland Clinic due to their income scale guidelines.
manliter 2 years ago
The lack of proper coverage in the states causes an average of 45.000 deaths every year and medical bills are the cause for most of the bankrupty filings for middle class households. (cfr. American Journal of Public Health/ CDCP).
You don't know what you're talking about obviously.
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
As for the "flock to the US for your healthcare" , you almost made me laugh. There are two well known hospitals in Brussels that focus on cancer treatment; the amount of americans in there is staggering. US citizens go to canada and even to mexico to avoid being obliterated by bills.
It's also a matter of ethics; I am prepared to contribute my hard earned cash to help others because I know that if I ever am in that situation, I will also be helped. It's called solidarity.
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
The cancer treatment offered in Brussels is a hail prayer after all other legitimate treatments have been exhausted. It is a last dictch effort by those unfortunate to have the disease to try an experimental procedure that has not been approved by the FDA in America. I am glad that you are so generous with your hard earned wealth. I'll bet you pay over 50% in taxes also! Why bother working at all? Just have others take care of you. Not the American way. I would rather take care of myself!
manliter 2 years ago
Well that's pretty selfish of you ... I for one do care about the quality of life of others. I do pay a lot of taxes but I still have a nice house, I have a car, I have paid vacations, my schooling was free... It's really a comfortable life.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about; Bordet Bruxelles is not a "hail prayer" , I wonder whose ass you got that from.
Keep on taking care of yourself and only yourself; what a nice human being you are..
Falloutmoon 2 years ago 2
By taking care of myself i mean not having help from big brother, you know the government. such as you are taken care of by.
manliter 2 years ago
The purpose of a government is to work for the people.
By the way, do you also reject services like "the police", "mail services", "road building" etc ?
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
Civil services. Now you are comparing apples to oranges. Yes! The government must work for the people but not to the point of controlling their lives and freedom of choice.
manliter 2 years ago
I don't see how providing healthcare and education is controling their lives. It's quite the opposite in fact, it gives people the tools to emancipate themselves. And not only that, it shows that the well being of people is and should be a concern.
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
It is controlling their lives by dictating to the patient whether he or she can or cannot have the surgery or procedure and when. That does exist here on a limited basis but for the most part we are free to choose. We do not need rationed health care here. We do need some changes to make it more affordable to everyone, but not a major overhaul and the majority of American people agree with me on this. Hence the tea parties and town hall meetings.
manliter 2 years ago
Well it doesn't work that way here in europe either. If you need a surgery, you will have it no questions asked no matter what the cost and you can choose where you want the surgery performed. Health care is not rationned at all and it's not just affordable,IT IS FREE.
See? you have been told lies about the healthcare in europe. So please stop saying we have "rationned health care" or "we don't have a choice" or "we have huge waiting periods" . You are wrong , plain and simple.
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
It is not free. It is paid for by the people through high taxes. By the way, if your Europe is so great, why do millions of people come to the United States for a better way of life and to fulfill or realize their dreams. Europe: a great place to visit, but I would not want to live there.
manliter 2 years ago
I already adressed the issue of taxes. Yes we pay more taxes but guess what; no one dies because of lack of access to healthcare. That's pretty good compared to the 45000 thousand people who die each year in the states for that reason alone.
Many people flock to europe as well. And I didn't say america was bad; I am sayinh its healthcare and education system suck as the stats show.
I bet you would not like it here; we're not selfish (well most of us aren't) and we care about people's well being
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
America, is however a nation of immigrants. It is called the melting pot of the world. I care about the well being of others, but I do not want any hand outs. That's the difference as I stated before I want the government off my back and out of my wallet. .
manliter 2 years ago
Fair enough but if I could just leave you with one thing : no matter what your opinion might be, please stop spreading those misconceptions about healthcare in Europe and Canada. There are no panels deliberating on whether someone should or should not be treated. There aren't any horrendous waiting lists, The quality of care is not a "bargain priced placebo".
Falloutmoon 2 years ago
As long as you are happy with it is all that is important.
manliter 2 years ago
Hey guy, I live next to the broader with Canada. They tell me their are waiting lists and people not getting healthcare. I worked in IT departments of medical related companies and have seen it with my own eyes.
b5kalad 2 years ago
good points manliter, thank you.
But you forgot to mention, that if the government controls education, they will control what is covered. As you can see today many left-wing/communist ideas are pushing down the minds of children in the classroom.
The comments by the fool Falloutmoon just shows how far down Europe has gone. If you want to know more please read the book "America alone" by Mark Styen.
b5kalad 2 years ago
Thanks ! The world is so full of mis-conceptions about America. We are the first and only nation that comes to the aid of all other countries in their time of need and disaster. Where do the European nations hide when atrocities such as genocide and disasters such as tsunamis and earth quakes ravage the populations. We must continue to stand up for the American way and that is certainly not socialism and it never will be!!!
manliter 2 years ago
Americans do not have a problem,
Giving tax dollars, to PAKISTAN, IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN.
billions and billions.
but when it have to be spent on YOU, the average american, to get a reasonable
health care.
You shout out, being afraid, that your neighbor, might get some of your money.
But you dont care, when foreigners get your money.
zacky89 2 years ago
Most do not like that we help foreign countries before helping in our own country. We should have built up New Orleans by now it has been three years since Katrina. I would be totally in favor of America declaring itself sovereign, but maybe that is not the humanitarian way.
manliter 2 years ago
manliter
Wrong it would be VERY humanitarian if usa declared itself sovereign ! Not just to its own people but HUMANE to all the people of Iraq ,afghanistan, iran, venezuela , cuba., africa., and the list goes on and on and on These countries would be very thankful if usa stopped putting its nose into their affairs and clean up its OWN back yard first ! Imagine all that money spent on your military and false flag wars going to THE PEOPLE instead!! the WORLD would be CHEERING to be rid of usa

Moore wants to replace capitalist dictator with democracy!
nowellian 2 years ago 3
Yea, just what we need. More regulation in our lives. What's the famous quote by Patrick Henry?

We make laws so citizens can't hurt citizens...there's nothing un-American about protecting the small from the big.
mandible2002 2 years ago
in other words, THEY ARE Capitalistic.
Capitalism=economics go unchecked, therefore they become exploitative and destructively greedy

What a bunch of pitiful people you are that depend on government to take your hand!
wolfgange63 2 years ago

Sounds like paradise on earth.

the idea that capitalism is evil is nothing new. the Church has spoken out against capitalism for hundreds of years, in fact they probably would've been allied with communists the world over if it wasn't for the predominant atheism involved in the movement. the Eastern Orthodox Church was supportive of the bolsheviks until they started closing parishes and taking valubles from the churches.
Xiansiempre 2 years ago
"The Church has spoken out against capitalism for Hundreds of years"
Prove it. Even if your right, the idea that Capitalism is Evil is certainly not Church Doctrine.
"The probably would have been allied with Communists the world over if it wasnt for the predominant Atheism"
And the Millions upon Millions of people dead through Murder and Starvation, the Thousands lying dead in Afghanistan, Poland and Cambodia. After those minor hiccups, of course the church would side with the communists.
TheBigLebbowskii 2 years ago
The Catholic church loves capitalism. They love money. The pope and his red shoes would gladly rape Jesus and roast him over hot coals for the ticket take at the door of the coliseum.
