Elemental79, there a lot of other studies that can be done besides double blind studies... being "double blind tested" doesn't make it special... it's just more useful if you're, as twcjr44 said, trying to remove bias/cheating from your experiment.

You are confusing OOBE with remote viewing. Don't get wound up over the paranormal -- that's but a tiny sliver -- and not even an important sliver -- of the larger reality. Making the paranormal your focus is like visiting Japan and being obsessed with the construction of their sidewalks. Forget the paranormal; that is not what MBT is all about. Nothing of what I say that is important depends on the paranormal that it appears to is just the limited view from the perspective of the PMR box.

I am writing a book on OOBEs... I have had the 'ability' since the age of 11... I am now 35. I am writing a book on it... I am currently talking with Rick Strassman about endogenous DMT production during my OOBEs. I have always considered the OOBE to be connected to an applied altered perception allowing my 'this reality' conscious mind to 'see' other conscious 'MEs' or other world realities.

Double blind is only useful when you are trying to remove potential bias and cheating. If you are studying perception and you send someone into a room then on return you ask them what they saw. How do you double blind test that they are telling the truth about what they percieved? One can only assess the accuracy and completeness of their perception. We assessed the accuracy and completeness of our perceptions as well as the probability that accurate perceptions could be meerely random.

I'm not sure what these experiences entail, I am still watching the videos. From what I have read about out of body experiences (and it may be way off from what the video proposes) I immediately envision a room, separate from the subject with information that can then be verified. Where neither the subject nor questioner knows the information. Now that I have some time again, I'll keep watching. Regardless, some sort of evidence apart from an individual experience will have to be presented.

Were these so called out of body experiences double blind tested? How come this wasn't mentioned? Did these scientist invest vast amounts of time and money into a claim that was never tested scientifically? Evidence alone is not enough. I hope this video addresses falsifiability and testing in a more convincing manner. I'll keep watching.
