@danz409 Got a variac? 1 Variac + Voltage tripler on 120V == 510V.
If you take 2 caps and 2 diodes, you can get 340VDC off of 120VAC mains. Or, 240VAC mains, that's 676.8v. Just google Voltage Doubler if your interested, capacitor size doesnt matter, if they can handle 200V, it's good.

sweet. and i have these parts just laying around... no power supply to charge them or acess to 400v of any kind
