MBV remains a mystery to me (God knows how I love them though). They pop out of limbo in '07, remind everyone who they were and how influencial they still are, and then after 2009 they just disappear. The only news I ever heard/read about them since is about Kevin putting up a label for the Volume Courbe. To think he swore, back in '08, that they would release a record with new material. The result ? Nope, NO NOTHING. It's beyond me.

OK seriously. I guess maybe it's due to loads of rubbish that people have to wade through but, why is this band not regarded at the same level as the beatles? Truly when it comes to being revolutionary and timeless. I just don't get it. Maybe to trippy. Not so easily digested? Sorry america heres a great big spoon fed serving of Stone Temple Pilots. saw them in 91 or 92 (cant remember exactly) at the roxy in new york w superchunk and helmet (again not exactly sure). I remember i had tickets for MBV and also for LIVE who were playing the same night and I gave away the tix for LIVE to my roomate and took a date to see MBV. No regrets whatsoever. I do recall alot of people walking out on them though lol.

TOO LOUD? Maybe you're TOO OLD. I saw MBV with Dinosaur Jr in Atlanta in the early 90's and it was a transcendental experience. This video gives me goosbumps just remembering the ecstacy of that evening.
