Rhythmic inconsistencies mar this performance. In addition, Lang doesn't know how to bring off one of Haydn's wittiest finales.

I LOVE LANG LANG! His facial expressions are so cute! Horowitz once explained in a television interview that all of his expressive energy was transmitted through his fingers, that there was rarely any other manifestation of musical expression/energy through his body. I appreciate his understanding, but also value and find enjoyable Lang Lang's method.

There is nothing cute about Haydn: if Lang Lang's cute (what he shure is), it's just one side: on the other side he's just - wrong.

Horowitz is compltely right.
lang Lang is for circus, and as a musician he has nothing to do with Horowitz or with any great becuase he is not great. he is just a notes player. Sometimes some of his playing is nice. most NOT. A real disgrace for occidental music.
