  • Faggots!

  • how do I transfer contacts on my htc sensation to my google contacts?

  • @tomniggah from settings--------->accounts, make sure you add your Google account then tap on the account address and check (contacts sync), once you did that it will auto-sync your contacts

  • This is so retarded..I am following all these links... and have yet to find out... How to Sync phone....

  • 0:13.. My.. My shemale account? You can sync stuff with the shemale account? That's great news!

  • Am I crazy or does is this not compatible for android? WTF....android is Google's OS. Weird!

  • @icekat83 Google doesn't need to market this for Android because it's already included in the Google for Android application suite that comes preinstalled in pretty much every Android phone.

It's not native to the Android core OS like most say in the comments.

The Android OS is Free Software (Free as in Freedom of Speech) while Google for Android is proprietary freeware (free as in free beer).

  • Enable this feature for BlackBerry, please. Thanks =)

  • @beluda8 blackberry has wireless synchronization BUILT IN with REAL push support (instant updates)

blackberry does not need this, all contacts, calendars, and emails are updated instantaneously over BES

  • Has anyone try to sync Android Calendar using Google Sync successfully if it is at all supported natively?

  • @8888chinaman Android does support Google Sync nativley there's no need to install anything. For me with HTC Calendar app. I needed to Uncheck My Calendar(local Calendar, and Outlook(homtail Calendar) and Keep (my name)Gmail Calendar checked. That way it would sync.

  • does this cost?

  • am unable to retrieve my contacts from google to blackberry..can anyone tell me how to do

    atul

  • I think it's because Android supports this natively

  • QUESTION! I have two google accounts: a more personal one and one I use for school. The one I used for school I use a lot less, but is the one my droid eris is based off of. now that I have made my personal account it doesn't want to sync my calendar. Any tips?

  • @FashionForward4ever

you can add a second account if you go to settings off the home screen > accounts and sync > add account.

  • I use a program from thinkpost. net - they sync your bb and computer wirelessly - and don't force you to use the devil's own Gmail!! Plus it's duplicate free and simple, god knows why people use google junk

  • I don't understand this. I don't even have such a "Shemale account". What do I do? :) (0:12)

  • Fantastic. This is the way contacts should work.

  • Because of this FUCKING BULLSHIT, all of my contacts and calendar entries got CORRUPTED! I'm about to use blackberry desktop manager's application loader to completely DELETE ALL OF MY DATA and will leave my contacts UNRECOVERABLE!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD! BEWARE! STICK TO SYNCING YOUR DATA WITH MICROSOFT OUTLOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • just restart your phone if you can't get logged in your gmail sync account, that is all i did now i synced everything from gmail.

  • and android, i use it on android np :)

  • Awesome. I been useing MobileMe and I Paid for family packes around £89.99 for a year. But when i found Google got same thing i`ve changed it stright away Thanks to Google always geting us the best and for free i Love Google i high recommended to ues Google Sync insted Mobile Me. And works with my iPhone 3G and 3Gs dose what the MobileMe dose and for Free insted paying £59.99 for a year.

  • @hamodeeuk I agree, the features Google offer are very good and intuitive and best of all most of them are free. And thanks to Google I am now cloud computing so much with not only services such as Google Sync (Contacts, GMail, Calender, Docs etc) but I am also using other cloud services such as Mint, DataInherit, Dropbox, Evernote, Box and Spotify. Reason why Google is one of my favourite tech companies.

  • Does it work for N95? doesnt seem to

  • I downloaded sync, but when I go to login, I get an error message saying "Login failed, due to network problems, check your settings." I can't find anything helpful on the forums, with Sprint, or with Google. Can you help?? Please?

  • But it doesn't support Google's own Android platform???

  • mail please!!

  • hi jose

  • and i was about to get mobileme.. just found out google had this. saved me $100!!

  • i love this feature

  • I love google! sync makes everything easier intead of having everything seperate like calendar/contacts on your phone, you can sync it to google and add/edit contacts and calendar on both without worrying a thing :)!makes things easier, neat, and efficient!

  • cool!

  • Another way Google can stalk you. Although Google does have amazing services

  • google iz awesome!!!!!!!

  • this is awesome

  • I love this feature

  • ??????????????????????

  • I was playing with Windows Live services after being a loyal Google services user since Gmail first came out. I have been quite disappointed by Microsoft's lack of sync support for their services (you would think they would sync to Windows Mobile, they don't do their calendar yet). This will swing me strongly back to Google - THANK YOU GOOGLE!!

  • FINALLY!!!1111exclamation mark!1!1!

  • Google is wonderful for giving homosexual employees opportunities to participate. . .

  • Jesus Christ. ABOUT TIME.

  • Will this work with an iPod Touch?

  • yes it does

  • difference being that mobile sync didnt work

  • Cough*MobileMe*cough

  • haha thats what i said

  • *cough*but free*cough*

  • And it probably works too! Just sorting it out for my iPhone

  • well, could have seen that only better on VW's website, should have been driving it!!!!!!!

  • like it so far on my axim. syncs well.

  • old news

  • mobile me?

  • Comment removed

  • No Android support ?

  • It already has it

  • i think the first step is to sync the iCal and google calender even for those who does not use internet on their mobile. It is still far from MobileMe

  • Regardless of all the non-positive comments, I'm happy that Google rolled out this feature. It will get better with time and more people will use this.

    Thank you Google.

  • It seems 2 way to me! I hate to have to connect to sync but I agree that some may want this. However this means you need to have the cable and stuff, it means that Google has to make a PC/Mac/linux driver etc...

This really makes my day! I've been waiting forever for Gmail and iPhone two way sync.

  • 1. Why the heck do companies always make these things go one way? My phone is far more up-to-date than my email account. Why can't I update my email acct with my phone??

    2. Why can't this be done with a wire? Not everyone needs/uses wifi. :/

    Hense, it's useless for me....

  • I only have experience with it on the iPod Touch and a Windows Mobile smartphone, but it was definitely two-way for me. Took a couple minutes to sync (a little longer on calendar than contacts), and it took a bit of fiddling on the iPod, but worked peachy nonetheless, and it's definitely two-way.

  • Indeed!

  • Oh.

  • I'm currently using ZYB (.com) for a free wireless backup of my phone's contacts and calendar and to edit my data online, but I think I'll give Google Sync a try since it can also sync with your computer's data.

  • This is great as it is free... but I was reading in the instructions that it deletes all your current contacts (in my case... address book) and re-syncs them. It does not support custom ringtones or photo caller ID... and that kinda sucks. So, I don't think I'll be doing it...

  • I tried it with Google Apps and it doesn't work (as usual). I don't understand why once implemented in regular gmail, features take so long to cross over.

Maybe we'll get sync on apps when along with themes.

  • awesome
