You did such a great job of portraying Jillian Tatterton with Merryl Streep clips! I had always envisioned Tina Bursil as Jillian, but she's Australian, not well known (I don't think) and if it came to a movie, Streep would be perfect choice!

The girl at 1:56 portraying Leigh, Heaven's mother really stands out for me and truly fits the image as she's supposed to be strikingly beautiful. The last book in the series, 'Web Of Dreams' is my all time favourite. A film adaptation should definitely be made of that book

@limbumog i totally agree w/ you! the overall story of Leigh is so sad! I like the scene when Luke thinks he sees Leigh "Angel" again. the actress seen in this clip as Leigh is Evan Rachel Wood. Luke is Hugh Jackman. Meryl Streep made a perfect Jillian. i often imagined the late child star, heather o' rourke to be the perfect leigh; given both the actress & character dies in their preteens. Heaven should be nina dobrev.

By the way there is someone who's written a few chapters of their own alternative book focusing on LEIGH entitled 'BROKEN ANGEL' which you can google. It is rather far-fetched but makes for interesting reading I think and am waiting for the author to complete further chapters.

@limbumog i just caught the Broken angel chapters last week- thanks. And it is way far fetched. the writers' version of luke's 1st confrontation w/ leigh was a let down; and was not true to the characters at all. it's been a while for new chapters to be written now!

I adore them both- Bale is actually my favorite actor but right now, unfortunately, they would be too old to play these characters as they are in Dark Angel. Heaven is 17 and Troy is 24 when they first meet in Dark Angel. If they were both about 10 years younger, that would be perfect. I honestly don't know who has the intensity, charisma, and acting chops at this young age to actually play these characters. James McAvoy comes to mind but he's 5 yrs younger than Bale only.

They also did a movie teleplay for Rain (the Hudson series). It was released in 2006. Unfortunately they strayed away from the origihnal concept of the book, but it was still pretty good anyway. Lifetime network is planning on doing a series on the Landry books. I'm excited for that!

I don't think Heaven and Troy are like Bella and Edward. H & T actually had personalities, thank you very much. I think there are some vaguely similar aspects of Troy's character to Edward's, but I don't think the latter can even hold a candle to Troy. Just saying, I don't think you can compare the two. Dark Angel is infinitely better written than Twilight, IMHO.

o my word, Dark Angel has to be my favorite book ever!! I actually freaked out in thinking this was a trailer for an actual movie...anyway I think if it was a film, no one could be a better Jillian than Meryll Streep, but I think that Liv Tyler would make an excellent Heaven...by the way the dark-haired girl in the red dress was Fanny, right? Just two things: It seems a little Troy-focused rather than story-focused. Secondly, the bit where the first of 3 Heaven and tony arguing frames, Where she's really up close to the 'camera' and he's looking at her from behind, her head seems a little off.

Apart from that, well done!
